dip hackers : cheesy ranch dip

We interrupt this regularly scheduled blog to bring you a christmas cooking montage. Because I don’t cook. And I certainly don’t montage {about stirring ingredients, anyway} So you know this sucka is going to be easy peasy and totally worth it…

About a month ago, we had a girl’s weekend at the beach. One of our friends brought up a dip from one of my all time fave Birmingham bakeries. {can I get a woot woot for Edgars?} Anyway, this dip, was probably my favorite thing ever to put in my mouth…

But we don’t have an Edgar’s here. {refraining from snarky comment regarding my locale}

So I totally hacked it. You’ll be thanking me later.

Are you ready? Here’s what you’ll need…

8 oz. sour cream

8 oz cream cheese

8 oz cheddar cheese (save some for the top! – or add some-the more the better!)

1 packet of ranch

1 packet of bacon bits

heat your oven to 350.

soften the cream cheese, and mix it with the sour cream. add the other ingredients and mix together.

Stick it in your corningware – sprinkle it with cheese on top, and stick it in the oven for about 15-20 mins, until thoroughly heated.

bust out the fritos (and the awkward poses) and give your dog the leftover mixing bowl. Your kids may even like this one. {Emerson, the queen of picky loves this.} See ya on the other side of thousands of calories! Merry Christmas!
