As you probably well know, I’ve had kitchens on mah brain for a while now. In between work for clients and commissioned pieces, I can’t seem to shake ‘em. I’ve been living in a cookie cutter conundrum for much too long now, and our first little investment, the refurbished schoolhouse lights came to our happy little home last week. I was so pleased with the look and possibilities they hold for adding character to our space…I can’t do anything with them just yet, and I’m sitting tight until we’ve saved up our kitchen funding. So, in the meantime, I’m playing with different ideas in my head.
Here are a few of my favorites.
I’ve had this saved up for a while please don’t flog me- source?

vintage fridge = swoon.
I’ve been speculating on this since August. But hadn’t really made up my mind until before Christmas. Have you ever wanted to change something so badly, but you had to be an adult and wait for proper moolah rather than being a mindless doofenshmirtz and charging it on your credit card? I was this way last year about our veranda. And we waited…and waited… Jamin says it’s good for me. Because I’m like a chiuaua. I get really excited and shake and have zero patience. So, excitement subdued and changes made in my head, I shall wait. {SIGH} Being a grown up is hard.
In the meantime, I think I’m sold on the butcher’s block and the two toned cabinets with a wainscoting backsplash and (perhaps) farmhouse sink. We won’t be eating out for, like, six months, but that’s cool because afterwards we’ll just make up for it by having everyone and their grandmother over. Sound good? It does to me!
