I seriously just had the most incredible week.
Ever.
And while I promise not to sit here, and be all, oh-my-gosh-check-out-these-supacoolfunpics-I couldn’t resist posting a few. I was surrounded by hundreds of amazing, beautiful, talented, brilliant, incredible women…who also happened to be some of the sweetest, most genuine people I have ever met. People who I admire. People who inspire me. People who kind of rock my face off in general. (yeah. CLEARLY, I’m trying to bring that back.)
Ah. MA. Zing.

Okay. I’m done gushing now. I’m kind of a gusher, aren’t I? I’m working on it. Meh. It’s who I am. I know you recognize some, if not all, of these faces. In random order {because I’m too lazy to do it right}
Erin, Rhoda, Shaunna, Kate, Layla, Traci, Becky, Shannan, Jen, Beth, Sarah, Chris, Myra, Marian, Kristi, Kristen, Sandra, Brittany, Nester, Melissa AND SO MANY MORE!
I couldn’t begin to do each wonderful lady justice. And I just know I left someone out… if I did, it was not intentional and I think you are absolutely incredible. Trust me. I was truly overwhelmed from all the awesomeness going around, and it will take me an entire week to recover, process, and decompress from all that I learned and soaked up…from all of you. I won’t lie. It was totally out of my comfort zone to go…but worth every minute.
I seriously had the bestest roomie EVA.
A group of ten of us went junking while we were there that day. It was such a blast to all make a dive for some of the same items. Just a few of the things we saw that day:

I wanted to buy this with the imaginary moolah I don’t have, and paint it a brilliant shade of something after i strapped it to the top of shaunna’s SUV and hauled it home.

love the idea of a series of these (in different frames)

this one’s going in the idea files. I was seriously in love with this piece. Kinda want to go back for it.

and of course, this one. too bad I don’t have a shop…

I ended up purchasing this one. I mean, who can’t resist the urge to hang creepy people with eyes to follow you a-la disney’s haunted mansion/my worst nightmare on their walls? Not this chick. Coming soon, to my dining room: woman who looks like a man, and man who looks like a witch.

idea files.

something about vintage art supplies make my heart swoon.

(random) side note: loved the chairs in the lobby. the carpet…not so much…but the chairs…were awesome.

sorry Kate. I just had to close with this one.
We seriously had the time of our lives. I was just glad to get out of the house, put on normal clothes and makeup, and exist without a demanding schedule for about three days. WOOT.
And I think this high is going to be a tough one to come down from…
I’ll close with this:
someone posted it recently on twitter. I think it’s so true. It can be easy to become caught up in all the fabulousness of everyone’s talent, and feel a little intimidated, if you’re a blogger, and aren’t sure about coming next year.
So, this is for any of you apprehensive gals out there who want to go, but just aren’t sure:
It’s not who you are that holds you back. It’s who you think you’re not. -unknown
I’m accepting this one as a personal challenge for myself. I love it.
Love you all. Have a great week.
