A little over a week ago, I posted on this little conundrum.
so naturally, I thought you would find this quite humorous. {At least I did. Then again, I’m her mom…}
look what I almost stumbled over on my way to bed the other night?
she just wasn’t giving up.
she sleeps like a frog, and then complains about her legs hurting. I let her kick me in the night and then complain about my face hurting. Guess we’re just chocked full of whiners over here.
FYI: she ended up in the bed with us.
Paci and all.

Hope you all have an inspired, fantabulous Easter weekend, full of easter egg hunting festivities galore! I know ours will be!

Ah- these bedtime stories make me laugh so much because it reminds me so much of my own battles each night! Esp. the being kicked in the face!

Ugh, we are going through the exact same thing right now. Macy just will not stay in her bed. My problem is she is stealthy and I don’t realize she is there till later when I wake up and my back is killing me and she is side to side in between us. Gah. 😛

She looks just like my granddaughter Emma lying there. Aren’t they just little angels when they’re asleep? lol. Adorable!

Omg, she is just too cute. It cracks me up that she falls asleep before she even makes it to your bedroom.

Our bedrooms are downstairs. We have a carpeted staircase with winders at the top that stop at a door. And he have a little situation like yours…. Often, we find our little guy asleep at the top of the steps. It’s scary though. Your heart kinda flutters everytime you open the door to head down and as you start to step down, you realize there’s a little person right there… We had a gate, we decided to give it away and he stopped doing it, but now the gate is gone and he’s doing it again…

Have you considered getting a fun and cute toddler bed, like this one, http://tinyurl.com/3tw2zh5, (which I am buying for my little love bug and painted a fabulous tbd color!), and putting the toddler bed next to your bed in your room? Sidecar it if you have to. She would feel safe in your room and you would both have the physical space you need to sleep comfortably. She will outgrow the need when she is ready, she won’t be there forever, but it would end the struggle back and forth stage you are in now . . . sweet girl, she must have a powerful need to be near her mama at night! I remember being the same way as a little girl. We co-sleep with our 13 month old and I wouldn’t have it any other way 🙂 Of course do what is best for your marriage, but just some food for thought on the side-car’d toddler bed-cheap, cute and fun!

This reminds me of the battle I had with my twin girls, three years without a whole nights sleep does not make for a happy Mummy. Have you thought about getting a bed for her to sleep in and putting it next to your bed, that way she is in your room but not in your bed kicking you in the face. Might work, might not.

What did you do w/your twin girls? I have twin boys that are 2 1/2 & still don’t sleep all night. They think they need me & a bottle every time they wake up. I’m ready for some sleep!!! 🙂

She is precious. What a great memory of this age. Side note: where did you get that painting? Did you make it? It is beautiful.
