Remember this post, where I was all mysteriously elusive, because I kind of want to surprise you with what I’ve been working on, and in the meantime, I’m working on fifty projects at once because I have issues?
If you haven’t noticed yet, the first part of this week includes a bit of overload on the eye candy, as I’m currently obsessed with blue plates, and other whatnots. And my project with the barnwood, is directly related to my ownership of said blue plates. At least that’s what I’ve been telling myself. It’s imperative to the success of the project. At least until I change my mind…and I’m pretty sure I won’t.
I’m particularly obsessed with yellow and blue plates. Imagine that.
Particularly the awesome most combination that is these.
But really, any old plates will do. I know I’ve posted on old china before, but to me, it never gets old.
I just drooled on my keyboard.
mmmmmmmmm. Wouldn’t it be fun, if we could just break into people’s houses and take whatever we wanted? KIDDING. But maybe not. {I covet the fridge.}
These aren’t vintage, but I’m loving everything about this from the plates to the pillows…
Yes, this is wallpaper. But I love it anyway. So let’s pretend its real.

I think it’s time to do a little thrifting. How bout you?

My mother-in-law had the plates in the first pic! The dinner plate in the lower-left corner; I ate on that plate for years. Now I want a set too!
My Grandmother had the blue plates with the scenes on them….I remember them well! I have an assortment of random plates on my wall in my dining area……including some Fire King Peach Lusterware and now Fire King Jadeite…..my latest obsession!!!! Happy Thrifting !
Drooling on my keyboard! Going thrifting this weekend for plates I’ve been wanting to put in our Yellow-blue kitchen! and your eye candy this week is wonderful! Love your blog too!
I HEART this post!!!!! I have a box of blue plates in the garage my grandmother gave me. She still has some hanging in her kitchen. They are all different and collected over the years. I never thought of putting them with the yellow plates. LOVE it. I can’t wait to dig them out! Thanks for this awesome post!
I have been going back and forth and back and forth for almost 2 years now, trying to find a decorating direction with our kitchen! While they are not vintage…I found some uber cute cobalt blue/white plates at Target a couple of weeks ago! It was instant inspiration right there! They will make the coolest wall arrangement! So yeah…feeling the cobalt blue love with ya…
Lovely, awesome, wonderful! Have the wall space picked out and am ready to go…..well, minus the plates! Patience, patience, patience! I have unfinished projects everywhere right now!

Oh, gorgeous. Decorating porn!
I actually have a small collection of plates on a wall in my kitchen. Originally I was going to fill the whole wall, I should get back to doing that
Oh how funny! I am about to paint our living/dining room areas and have been contemplating taking my blue plate collection down that I have had for about 10 years. I guess I will put them back up but maybe change the arrangement of them. I have seen where blue plates are making a comeback… you are proof! =)
Question about the plates. Do you know possibly how these are hung. I know of the metal hangars that are found at hardware stores but these don’t look like they are hung with that type of hangar. Love all the snippets you’ve enticed us with here! Thanks for sharing. I’ve posted some on my Pinterest page too!

Hi Bessie! That link is a bit of a dead end, isn’t it? you may do better googling for them…I unfortunately have no clue where they came from, but they are indeed beautiful! apparently they were in a store, but there is no origin link, unless it is hers. I’m sure you could always send that gal an email asking where she got them? Sorry I’m not much help!
