Howdy, awesome lovers of color! Remember last week’s post? It’s tiiiimmmmmmeeeeeee!
I thought it would be fun to have this lil mini shindig. The only guideline I gave you: share your current take on color. Whether its our latest obsession, craving, inspiration, or if you just want to show off that new shade of red you just painted your kitchen-I can’t wait to see it! Really, it was because I’m a dork, and like to see everyone else’s perspective. So, I hope you decided not to wash your hair, because they party won’t be complete without me nosing around on your blawgh…
I personally decided to hone in on blue, for our first time around. So, I sent myself on a little scavenger hunt around the bungalow, and decided to take some up close studies a-la photography of that color in our home. I know I use blue a lot {I use other colors in conjunction with it} but I thought it would be interesting to focus on some variations of that color. To be honest, it was a bit of an eye opener. The greatest way I seem to do this is through my accessories. Even though my walls have color, I tend to keep it soft, so I can switch out my look in a flash. Here’s a glance at some of the blues in my home. I think it’s always interesting to look at the elements of our home outside their usual context. Don’t you?
So there we have it! {I didn’t really include any links about these photos, but if you have any questions, feel free to leave one in the comments section, and I can direct you in the right direction} Just a glimpse of how I use accessories to bring all that blue into my home!
Now it’s your turn! I can’t wait to see your take on this little posting of projects. Simply click on the “add your link” below and follow the directions, step by step to link up to this post! Be sure that the link up is to your post, not your blog in general, so we can read your fabulous take on color!
I’d love it if you could also copy and paste the linky party button so that others can join? That would be awesome and only takes a few moments! {To do this, make sure you copy and paste at the top of your actual post’s page, rather than your blog’s main page.}

the warm tones of an old Bridge Timber inspired me to re-do our kitchen island:

and the blue paint went perfect with it, don’t you think?
This was fun! Who would want to wash their hair and miss this? As usual, your post is beautiful. Thanks for hosting.
I’m so excited about this par-tay!!! Can’t wait to see everyone’s color schemes. Ashley, I soooo love your handmade home and hope to copy lots of your decor ideas. Where oh where did you get the amazing fabric in that first pic? I just found your blog, so I’m a bit out of the loop. By the way, your blog is incredibly refreshing. Finally, someone who has the same tastes that I do, but with infinitely more decisiveness!

Wow, this makes me really wish I had my own place already! I’ve added some Black inspiration in the form of a virtual room instead. It may not be the status quo but it’s inspiring all the same, and surpisingly not-goth-like at all. I hope that’s ok. Your link parties are a great idea
no! you must always go status quo!
Of COURSE that’s okay! you’re hilarious. can’t wait to check it out!
Thanks for hosting…and leaving me some bloggy comment love! The html code wouldn’t come up when I did my post this morning, but I improvised

Ashley, thank you for visiting and commenting on my nursery design project! Your blog is the first one I open every morning (still re-reading and laughing about the cockroach encounter) and I find so much inspiration from you, so it was really special to see you comment. Thanks!
What a great little partay! I am so inspired by color and post about it each week. My colors this week seem to be very “current” with many of your readers!
Your blog is beautiful and I came by thanks to “A Room with a View.”

By the way, I would love to hear more about that framed “m”. Is there a post or tutorial for that on your site? LOVE it!
Thanks for the comment on my {red} post. I am with you, not a red person, i’m just liking the pops of it more and more. Love your blog: house, projects, personality. Do I sound like a freak? I started following your blog last week.

Where did you get the fabric that looks like its a linen with floral at the top of this post? Its the one that is nude linen with red, orange and blue floral.
Thanks!
