I’m hoping your season was truly merry and bright! I’m back with a little happy for you today, paired with some fabulously good news from UPS!
UPS has a new program they’re launching, called UPS My Choice. And if you haven’t seen it yet, you’re going to love it! UPS is committed to making the online shopping experience better. Not just for shippers, but consumers waiting on their packages to arrive, as well. Because of this, UPS is transforming the package delivery experience with a first-of-its-kind, customizable delivery service for residential receivers called UPS My Choice.
Have you ever waited, ever-so-exitedly for a delivery, only to miss it? The package required a signature, so you were totally bummed out, because it was a Friday, and you had to wait for Monday to get there? But they were some seriously kickin’ boots you wanted to wear out to dinner Friday night, because they were super cute and went with your skinny jeans and you had dinner planned with some people you haven’t seen in a few years, and they were sure to complete your outfit so you looked hawt, and now you had to wait an entire two more days to receive your delivery? BUM. MER. Perhaps one of my pet peeves, because I’m a freak ridiculously impatient. We’ve all been there, in one way or another, right?
Enter UPS My Choice! {Cue chivalristic trumpets with rescue music and hero voiceover} Disappointment no more, as this ground breaking service increases the likelihood of a successful delivery on the first attempt, by providing:
• Alerts
• Specific delivery time frames
• Re-route options
• Visibility dashboard for electronic signature release
ALL by accessing UPS.com through a computer or mobile phone. What does this mean? We can now schedule those deliveries around OUR lives.
Yes. A big fat appropriate heart to them. Because I am admittedly impatient when it comes to that last pair of awesome boots I ordered that important gift for someone else that has nothing to do with me.
There are 2 levels of membership:
1. UPS My Choice Members {a free service!} With this, you can receive phone, email or text alerts, notifying them a day in advance when packages will arrive, providing a four hour approximate delivery time frame. They also have the option to electronically authorize release packages that require a signature, AND for a 5 dollar transaction fee, to reroute your package to another location, or UPS store location.
2. UPS My Choice Premium Membership {available for a 40 dollar annual subscription} provides all the same benefits of the above UPS My Choice membership, at no additional cost, and in addition, members gain access to an online delivery calendar that shows the status of UPS home deliveries. Premium members are also offered a two hour delivery window, and the five dollar fee is only charged upon successful delivery of the package within the two hour commitment. These members can even provide the driver with detailed instructions of where to leave the package.
YAY! Finally a way I can seriously stay on top of all my deliveries. In my opinion, we’ve already won by signing up for one of the two awesome options above. But here’s what UPS is generously giving away to our lovely readers:

What a great idea….I love the text updates from Amazon so I know to look for boxes…sounds like this will help too. We don’t enter through our front door so packages can get missed.
I just signed up! I’m glad I did some price-comparing before shipping boxes this past holiday season. Saved myself a ton of money and avoided the lines at the post office for a few of the boxes I needed to send anyway!
