As an artist, I strive to find the beauty of God’s creation in everyday things. My goal is to create works that are simple, timeless, unique and affordable. Heavily influenced by the French Impressionistic style (Monet, Cassett, Renoir, among others) I use heavy brush strokes to incorporate color, light and movement into forms that are as simple as every day and as complex as the world around us.

I “liked” Amanda’s Facebook page but I LOVED the work on her website! I think my favorite was in April ’11, the brother and sister sitting on a tree swing in front of their house. The little red cowboy boots on the boy were adorable. I’ve wanted to get a painting done of what I hope is our “forever” house and this would be perfect!

I have several favorites of Amanda’s but one that especially hits home was a painting of an angel that she had at a Holiday Market a few years back. Something about that piece spoke to me so I bought it. Not even a week later a cousin of mine passed away and the more I looked at it the more I knew I needed to give it to his wife so she would have an earthly angel to remind her that her husband was in the arms of the Heavenly angels. I was so happy to pass on Amanda’s blessing of artistry. Art, like music, does so much to one’s soul. It soothes, inspires, entertains, welcomes, documents, brings forth happiness…
