“Remember When” would be wonderful hanging in my kitchen. We are a family that loves visiting the shore so not only does this piece have a weathered appearance that would remind me of the shore, but the verses are a perfect for my two boys to read every morning as they head out into a world that can sometimes be unkind. It is a reminder of just how precious our time is and to use it wisely….and to remember that Love is really all we need. I want my boys to always remember to be kind and love others, a simple statement that is expressed so eloquently in this lovely piece of art! Love your site!

Hi! This is so amazing … I came across their website a while back and over the weekend I spent a chunk of time unsuccessfully searching through all of the blogs I love trying to find them again…and here you are today.
I just like them on Facebook so I won’t lose them again.
I would really love to have the “you are my sunshine” sign because 4.5 years ago when I was first diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkins lymphoma, that is the song my then 2-year old nephew Noah used to sing with me to help me feel better. But his version went “You are my chunchine, my only chunchine, you make me happy when skies are great. You’ll never know dear how much you love me, please don’t take my chunchine away.” So cute!
Now, my aggressive cancer has returned and I have been in treatment since November and it is pretty rough. I’m blessed though that sweet Noah will still sing that song with me to make me feel better even though he is a big boy of 6 and a half.

Thank you so much Kim. I am so blessed to have this treatment available. I’ll be having a stem cell transplant beginning at the end of the month and I am taking part in a clinical trial. Professionaly, I work with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society helping to raise money to fund vital research into better treatments and cures for the nearly 1 million Americans fighting blood cancers. I am honored to do this work and to be a very small part of the body of research.
“You are my sunshine”….This was the only song that I knew the words too to sing to my daughter when my baby girl came home. She is adopted and my husband and I only had 24 hours notice before she came home. This song was a source of comfort to me and still makes me cry when we sing it together six years later. My world became brighter when she came along and this song reminds me of that first day together.

I love the “You are my sunshine” piece! I sang that to my daughter the whole time I was pregnant. Then the first time I got to hold her in the NICU she was crying and as soon as I started singing our song to her she calmed right down! Such a sweet memory!

Liked, and posted their shop on my fb as their store feeds my shabby chic addiction and I wanted the world to know. My favorite is “you are my sunshine”! My mom used to sing that song to me when I was younger and it reminds me of my sweet childhood…hoping to offer that back to my kids as I do my darnedest to give them a sweet childhood as well.

I love the “Remember when…” sign. There is the obvious – that I would love to hang it up in my house because I love the vintage/neutral look. But more importantly, I adore what it says and would love to have it be a motto for our young family of five. And because I’m also quite sappy, I can see this sign going with my oldest son (who is only six) to college to hang in his dorm room. And then later to his first apartment. And then to his first home to hang on the wall and share with his wife and kids…and tell them all about the time his mom won it in a give-away when he was only in kindergarten. {I type with a smile on my face}

I am in love with the “I Love You Mucho” freeship. My husband teaches high school Spanish and we try to incorporate our interests into our home as much as possible – this piece with it’s lovely Spanish element would definitely do the trick!!! Plus, my husband does love me mucho!!!

Hands down I would select the “Remember When” piece. I actually came across this about a year ago when my son was born and I fell head over heels in love with it. Unfortunately though, with 2 small children it is out of reach for us. However I have thought of it often. The advice is perfect for little children because they do spend so much time with you, but they will eventually leave you (even for a few hours at school.) When your little ones are out in the world, you want them to not only remember to be good people but to be proud of who they are. I really feel that the words convey this message beautifully — they are very practical and wonderful! It just warms my heart and I would be absolutely honored to have this in my home…seriously!

I would have to choose “You Are My Sunshine” because my best friend (of 52 years!) and I used to sing this as toddlers on the swingset in the back yard, whistled it as gangly school girls through the gaps in our front teeth, jazzed it up as teenagers trying not to cry because we didn’t have dates to Homecoming, sang it through our noses in the Dorm 10 Talent Show at Auburn and taught it to our children as we sang it to them at bedtime. If I could pick, I would LOVE the “you are my sunshine” piece. I have a nine month old daughter and our family moves around a lot, which makes it hard to decorate her room over and over and make it feel like home. It is hard to find things that match so many different bedrooms. I love “You are my sunshine”. It is such a happy song! and it seems very old – like the roaring 20′s.
1. Tell us which piece you would choose from the options above + why.
The ” I love you so much…” piece is to die for! I would love to display this at our wedding ceremony and reception on October 20, 2012! It would be such an epic piece to our ceremony, and a beautiful reminder as we enter a marriage after almost 5 years of courtship!

I teach five and six year olds in northern British Columbia. Every year we make memory books. We compile a school year’s worth of memories into a scrapbook. At the end of each scrapbook, I write a special note to each child with thoughts about their future.
The last picture has a verse on it that is beautiful and full of all the advice that a little person needs for a good life! The words are truly beautiful! They remind me of something I might wish for for one of my little kidlettes.
If I win that picture, I am going to display it in my classroom for all to see!

Hello, I love the “Remember When” by Rebecca Puig. I am mother of three children who my husband and I are working very hard to raise with the beliefs in this artwork. It can be hard to remember to love and to be kind when life can be so busy and chaotic. I especially love the line: “explore new paths”…we recently uprooted our family to live in Japan and the experience has been amazing. This painting would reaffirm our commitment to loving everyone and to living life to the fullest everyday!

I love this place! I would love the “you are my sunshine” piece. I recently won a giveaway from Coastal Cottage and got the “you are my sunshine” pillow case. That saying/song holds special meaning to me. It’s the song I sang to my son when I first saw him after he was born. He was rushed to the NICU immediately. I didn’t even get to see him or hold him. An hour after giving birth,I finally got to see him in the NICU…. that song just came out:) Those were my first words to him

Without a doubt, it would be the “You are my sunshine” art. It’s one of the songs I sing to my daughter before bedtime.

I lost my 31 year old sister 2 years ago……and no one spends their 20′s thinking that they may not have next year with their family, that they may not have the opportunity to travel, or to raise your child. My sister always thought that she would “someday” do these things, but that was not the case. Truly….kiss your life today….just as it is.

You are My Sunshine would be the one that would bring a smile to my face and joy to my day for years to come! Every night my little boy wiggles up into my lap, puts his hands on my face, smiles and says “My Sunshine, Mommy” Then we sing these words on this sign together over and over “More Sunshine, Mama, More Sunshine!” It’s the best part of evrey day! Some day (too soon) he won’t want to crawl into Mommy’s lap anymore and this sign would be such a perfect reminder of these sweet moments spent together.

I love the remember when. .It reminds me of my children, which always make me smile. I dread the day they all move on in the world
I love the 2nd one because it is so true that we need to love our lives and what we are blessed with. All too often we see the glass as half-empty instead of seeing as half-full.
I like the second one best because we should not compare our lives to others. God made is unique for a purpose. We can each shine in our corner of the earth.
My husband and I bought a new home about a year ago and then brought a new baby boy into that home about 7 months ago.
Unfortunately we have had some major issues with the house making me want to give up on it, but my husband still loves it and is committed to making the issues better. This is our only source of argument, and I just hate the bitter person it has made me into. Just this morning, we argued about it while I was holding my son getting ready to leave for work.
I just wish I would realize how truly blessed I am….I have a loving husband, I have a healthy son, I have a job to go to, and I do have a roof over my head.
This contest comes at the perfect time as I know I need to “KISS MY LIFE”…just as it is. I’m so hopeful to get this beautiful piece of artwork to hang in my very lovely home and let it remind me of my many blessings.

‘Remember when you go into the world….’ I love that message, it wraps up what I’ve been telling my kids all along. Keep your eyes and ears open … don’t allow moments of serendipity pass you by while at the same time watch out for the pick-pocketers! The whole message is perfect! I liked and shared it on facebook and hope I can hang that piece of art on my wall one day…:)

I would pick the “you are my sunshine” piece because I am making a photo wall of my daughter and I sang that to her every day she fought for her little life before she passed away from Listeria food poisoning.
I love them all, but ‘kiss the day’ really speaks to me right now. I went to through a divorce 2 years ago after a 20 year marriage and I am having a hard time moving on. This is an excellent reminder to embrace today and not yesterday and not been fearful or anixous about tomorrow.
