I love this post! I am at a stalemate with our “study”. It’s halfway furnished, and not decorated at all. We don’t have the money to really do it up like I’d love to, and I’m at a loss as to what we really “need” for the space, as far as storage, etc, is concerned. BUT I love the look & feel of this inspiration. Thank you!! Also, there is a vintage office chair resembling the one shown here at J&G’s flea market! 🙂 I’ve been eyeing it for awhile now but have no plans to actually purchase it. You should get it! 🙂

Hey Ladies! I’m a graphic designer by trade, so I use a combination of photoshop and illustrator for my boards. Taking out the background is a lot more work {to do inspiration boards for people, it takes about a day and a half to put them together with the entire process of writing, linking, research, and design} but it’s well worth all the extra work. I hope that helps a little! ;}

Ashley,
What program or app do you use for your Moodboards? I’ve used Moodboard but don’t know to trim and crop my pics so there’s no background. Of course, I am completely lacking in computer skills, so it could be the operator.

In reply to Dorothy. A yarn room sounds like so much fun! Thank you Dorothy! No voms. Just back aches and chills...but it only lasted for about a day and then left me weak-I think I'd rather go that route than a sinus infection. Those things last for weeks and they're what I ALWAYS get! BOOOOOO.

jI hope you didn’t all have the voms again, Ashley. Glad to hear you’re all getting better. I think the lamp you posted is possibly the cutest one I’ve ever seen! I don’t have a good work space myself but I do have a yarn room, so I guess that kind of qualifies..?? thanks for the darling ideas.

I don’t have a space YET –to we gave up the square footage for a separate study when we bought this house six months ago because we loved the location. So I had kind of given up on having a project/writing space. But we just turned a walk-in closet into, and a short-term nursery for Baby #3 and I realized that when Baby moves in with big brother I could nab the closet. Plans are forming! 🙂

Love it! I have those IKEA pots all over my house and use one of the large ones to hold all of my cooking utensils. I feel like I need to buy like 100 more before they quit carrying them 😀

Good Alabama morning:)
Some ladies from our church are taking a road trip to B ‘Ham this weekend for a Woman’s conferance. We are taking advantages of this “kidless ” adult time and plan to make a few stops along the way from Athens to window shop at some rare shops:)…..could you make any suggestions for us??? This is a 1st for us girls so we need your help!
