___________
Hello wonderful awesome spectacular people! I know that was a super long greeting. Perhaps even more enthusiastic than usual. But we’re slowly getting back into the groove of things, and that just makes us happy around here. What else makes us happy? This awesome little company.
Lil Light O’ Mine has the most adorably wonderful driving force behind it. This organization was created to empower moms and change little lives through innovation in the home. They believe we can raise a generation of kids who light up the world. If there’s anything I want my children to be, it’s light. It’s salt.
It’s different.
I don’t know about you guys, but I can use all the help I can get, in getting them there.
I truly believe it’s all about the little things. Growing up, I always struggled with the concept of memory verses. Therefore, I resented them. I’m a global learner. So I’m kind of anti rote memorization. I need images. And divided wording. And different colors and an application with meaning behind it, to really grasp things. It’s how my brain is wired. I want my children to learn, because they want to learn. We have a goal to display a different card from this wonderful little product on our fridge every week, and discuss it. If it’s a part of our daily discussion, then it’s woven into us. A simple way to carry this truth in our hearts. Honestly, it’s a nice reminder for me, too. It’s a wonderful, pretty little tool to use in our home for teaching.
Hurray for this wonderful product!
The fabulous Courtney over at Lil Light O’ Mine is celebrating her one year anniversary of her site (YAY!) and wanted to give away a set of ABC Scripture Cards to her friends at The Handmade Home!
From their site: These ABC Scripture Cards are a set of 5 x 7 alphabet cards with stylish designs that moms love and that kids can easily memorize. Each with an easy NIV scripture on the design and an easel and magnet in the box for easy display options.
Want to win? Because you totally have four chances!

2. Like Lil Light O’ Mine on Facebook (and leave a comment here telling us you did).
3. Follow them on Twitter (and leave a comment here telling us you did).

I liked Lil Light on Facebook. LOVE the scripture cards. So true, so pretty, so useful.
I am following all of thier boards on Pinterest, liking them on Facebook, and would LOVE to win these for my family. I have kids ages 10, 3, and 3 months and I am always looking for new ways to introduce bible versus, teach good life lessons, and give them something each day that they can carry with them. I too want to raise children that light up the world. It’s interesting that I am reading this today as our sermon in church last weekend talked about being good “salt shakers” salting our message all over the world
Thank you!

I would love to win these and add them to my nursery. I’m due to have a baby anytime and know I want to incorporate scripture into the life of my child as soon as possible.

I would love to have these around our home. I like to write down verses and hang them up but really dislike my handwriting. Plus, I think the visual letters would help my kiddos with memory. Thanks for the giveaway!

I am a Sunday School teacher for 2-3 year olds and I would hang these in my classroom.
My oldest son goes to a Christian school. These cards would come in handy for the days he doesn’t attend. Also for his little brothers that can’t go there because we cannot afford to send all three this year.
I think framing and hanging the cards….sort of like an A,B,C wall around my daughter’s room, would be lovely. They’re pretty, plus she’d see them all the time!

These would be such a great decoration! I have a chalkboard that I put the calendar up each month, and I include an inspirational quote there each month too- I would probably decorate by incorporating these cards each month as well! …or maybe gift them to my godson as a nursery decoration/gift?
The scripture cards are wonderful! I’ve been wanting to teach my kids more verses, and these are applicable and visually appealing. I would display them on our entry table, so we’d see them frequently, and memorize through repetition.
What a fantastic product! The design & colors are wonderful. I don’t have children, but I have a lot of “mom” friends who come to mind who would greatly enjoy these. I’m going to pass this along! Thanks for a wonderful product.
I would love to post one of these to the fridge and change it out.
I would display these on the easel in our kitchen. It is where we spend a good part of our evenings and I think it would be great to start discussions at dinner time.
I liked this page months ago on FB. Love the website. I would love to display these in our family room so we can be reminded daily.

I like on FB, pinterest, and twitter. What a great concept. We write on a chalk board and I read it out loud to my 15,12, and 7 year old boys but as they go about their day every little reminder counts. When I see scripture it makes me slow down and remember what is important as well.
I would either use these in homeschooling or in my own individual quiet time or both
Would love to display these in my library!
I would display these on the mantle in our living room so we could see them everyday! A perfect way to teach our 3 year old her ABC’s and wonderful scripture.

I already have a set (that I saw in a previous post on your blog and ordered them for myself). I LOVE THEM!! I ordered them to use as decorations at a baby shower that I hosted. They were in frames as the centerpieces…so cute. The colors are just wonderful and the scriptures are great! I am now using them in my own home. I put them on the fridge for us to use as a family. Just great reminders for everyday life and beautiful to look at!!!

The scripture cards are just beautiful. I would love to win them for both my son and myself (as well as my husband and daughter). My husband is amazing at memorizing and referring to scripture but I have such a tough time memorizing passages. This would be a beautiful way for my 8 year old and I to learn together.
And if we don’t win, I will be purchasing the cards anyway, but I would love to be able to look at them and say we won these cards!
Thanks so much for the opportunity.

I am excited to have found another awesome website. It is so good to see God being lifted up in so many ways. I would love to win these beautiful cards and use them in my preschool classroom for our letters of the week. Thank you so much for the opportunity to win these.
I could use these with my own children, but I’m also a children’s minister, and these would be great for our kids at church too!
Thanks for the chance to win! I’d love to string these up with clothespins across the playroom wall (which is open to the kitchen, so I could do some memorization of my own!!).
These cards are perfect! I would give them to my granddaughters!

I would love to use these as decorations at my son’s communion party this year. I have a few friends that have harsh opinions about my christian faith and I would love for them to see these beautiful reminders as a way to inspire them in a tasteful way about my faith.
I believe these cards would be a wonderful way to teach my kids scriptures that they can use & apply to their daily lives. Also, it is a great way for my younger children to learn their ABC’s. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
These would look great all framed in a kid’s room.
WOW! So beautiful! I would have several out in key places: the kids’ bathroom mirror, the fridge, on the easel on top of the cute red antique table…and rotate them often so we could hide His word in our hearts as we go about our days.
Liked them on FB, too!

I know that most people would display them for their children, but I would display them for myself and my husband. I would put one at a time on the fridge and let it permeate our life and minds until it has become part of us. That, to me, is much better than memorizing anything. These cards would also make good discussion starters about what the verses mean in our daily life and how we can live them in our neighbourhoods and communities. I also have to add that when I read the title of the blog I immediately started humming “This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine…” a wonderful children’s song!
These would make a great baby/nursery present for my sister.
I would love to hang these on a clothes line in my boys’ playroom or bedroom!

I just found your site on pinterest and I LOVE IT! The free printables are so generous because the quality is so high I’d expect you’d be charging. So thank you. I have now liked you & lil light on Facebook. These scripture cards are a beautiful way to introduce children to knowing the Word. To be salt & light… You are standing out & I’m so pleased to have come across you this morning : )
