It’s fall, y’all!
Which translates to: It’s the most wonderful time of the year again! And we’re rounding up a few of our favorite ever tailgating recipes to share with everyone today – because it’s time.
But first, something new we’ve cooked up:
Pepper Jack Tater Tots! Ohhhhh yeah. We don’t take this stuff lightly. {AKA we compensate by eating salads the entire week beforehand-shhhhh no judging.}
What you’ll need: • cubes of pepper jack cheese • 2 tsp salt • 2 tsp pepper • 1 tsp garlic powder • 1/2 cup all purpose flour • 3 1/2 cups of shredded potato • 2 eggs
Simply mix the flour, seasonings and the two eggs in a medium sized bowl. Once mixed well, pour them in a large bowl with the potatoes and mix all together.
Now grab a small amount in your hand shove a piece a cheese into it, and form a ball around the cheese. Place on a plate and repeat the step until you’ve used up all your potato mixture.
(Note: you can make these as big or small as you’d like. The size of your cheese will determine this. )
In a large frying pan add vegetable oil: We usually fill it to right under a half.
Set your heat on medium and when it’s ready, add in the potato balls. Cook them until brown on all sides. (Hint: if you let them brown well on the first side before flipping, it helps them stay together. About 4-6 minutes)
When they are golden brown they are ready, but let them cool for a minute before eating them!
Brace yourselves. These are amazing.
And here’s a few more of our faves for all things tailgating and impressing your friends with some awesomely easy recipes: {We’re getting hungry just looking at them…}

You’re making me hungry – for food and football!
Being Packers fans we are big into dairy (clearly!). Our favorite family recipe is Taco Dip.
1 block of cream cheese (softened)
1-16 oz carton of sour cream
1 packet of taco seasoning (use about half the pack, more if you want a really strong flavor)
Mix all three together and spread on a platter. Top it with any combo of your favorite taco toppings, like shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes. Serve with tortilla chips. At least with the veggie toppings you can tell yourself you’re eating something healthy, right? lol
