Last week, we were absolutely thrilled to share our initial reveal of our project with La-z-Boy at the Ronald McDonald House in Nashville. It was an amazing project, with some amazing people for an amazing cause. Can I say amazing one more time? Stay tuned.
But today, we thought we’d bring it back around… since the initial reveal was a lot to share, and sometimes sources get lost in the mix, today we’re sharing all the specifics in the space. So if you just absolutely love something you see… because it’s amazing, {see what we did there?} it’s available at any La-Z-Boy store, where they’ll be more than happy to help you get your hands on a piece. But without further ado, all the details:
We were very careful with the specific pieces we chose for this space. While it looks pretty on the outside, this space had more needs behind it than just pretty. But we can easily say Form and function were beautifully tied together when it came to the selections. So we were careful to choose finishes that we felt would last, stand up to high traffic, and meet the multi functioning needs for families and crowds at the Ronald McDonald House.
What we love about La-Z-Boy is the options for customization. Just one look at their site, and it tells you that the possibilities are endless. So if you like the shape but aren’t sure about the fabrics we chose for your own spaces, be sure to check out the endless possibilities available on their site.
For sources, we included everything that we can in the way of product numbers in case there isn’t a direct link to their site. So if you’re wondering specifics, just know that anyone in a local La-Z-Boy store will be glad to help you put your hands on the product you’re searching for.
The sofas: We chose The Malina sofa We love the idea of a contrasting welt to really bring those lines to life, and give it a modern touch. The dark grey is sure to hold up to high traffic, with the timeless finish of contrasting welts and turned legs. They have a subtle tufting as well, that just brought a level of coziness to the space.
Art: The prints in the back of the space in those planked frames, are from Hatch Show Print of Nashville. We were thrilled to bring in a touch of the city, and will be sharing a how to for those frames, coning soon.
Coffee Table: Modern Basics Rectangular Nesting Cocktail Table. We chose a nesting coffee table, and love the versatility of this piece. Furniture can be moved around as needed for various events. It came with a beautiful marble top to blend in nicely with the rest of the space. It balanced out the more traditional pieces with a touch of modern.
All the little pieces… The candlesticks, lanterns + glass jar are all available through La-Z-boy. Little accents you can find in store to liven up any space. We loved the different colors we were able to bring in to the mantel, to echo the artwork by us.
Paint colors: The Sherwin Williams paint was graciously donated locally, and painted by the fabulous Aspen Construction. We were thrilled to bring the walls to life with the colors Copen Blue + Extra White. We felt like we were no longer competing with awkward architecture after that… but more the walls just complemented the overall design. It’s amazing what a little paint can do.
Wing Chairs: These beautiful side chairs are the Moscato {Fabrics – Base: RE991564 + CF: F108593} For a beautiful touch of geometric shapes to counter with the organic rug.
Side Chairs: The Cosmopolitan {aka the most amazingly comfortable chair you will ever sit in – we chose this solely on feeling alone, but the fact that they were such a handsome finish for the space, didn’t hurt either} + Ottoman {P120693}
Poufs: The side poufs were the first thing we thought of when we knew that kids would be in this space. The challenge was making the entire thing welcoming, family friendly, and still fun for children. We were pleased to see that as soon as we placed them in the space, kiddos were drawn to them like magnets. The Frontier Pouf is available through La-Z-boy. {Pouf-245}
Side table: The Boracay small square end trunk table is available at La-Z-Boy. We loved the double function that it brought to the space by offering more storage inside.
Lamps: Uttermost {Mataline + Adalbern} also available through La-Z-Boy. {26348 + 26162-1}
Trestle Table: This table was one of our favorites because it folds in and out, for parties. Full sized, or smaller in the back, it allowed for more space. This is called the Hidden Treasures flip flop table {090-276} and is available through La-Z-Boy.
Printer’s Cabinet: We felt like this printer’s cabinet brought in a touch of childhood with it’s sweet reference to typography and well, good design. {090-447} The art overhead brought in another touch of Nashville, how-to coming soon.
Gold Accent Balls: Anwell Deco Balls
Rug: This rug really brought in a new dimension to the space with a much needed, fresh layer and brighter colors. It definitely helped tie everything together, and we loved a fluffy surface for little knees. Sonoma {SNM9008-1014} Available through La-Z-Boy.
Bookcase: We loved warming up the space, and bringing in distressed vintage children’s books which felt a bit thematically appropriate, personal and timeless. They didn’t need many accessories in the room, but the Studio Home bookcases made it feel even more personal. {166-588} Available through La-Z-Boy.
Pillows: We had the most fun choosing fabrics for these pillows, and really bringing the entire space together with punches of color.
