Um, yeah. I stand corrected. Apparently it’s 2012? Who knew? ;}
TGIF, fab friends! So it’s time for our February edition of Make Me Smile! {See what I did there? I used the word ‘edition’ after this title. Because it makes it sound official, and I get to repeat myself. Hurray!}
In honor of everyone’s favorite day of the week, I thought I’d share a little board of some favorite products, projects + ideas in hopes to inspire …and just because! Basically, they make me smile!
1. A vintage version of this Funny Girl poster that I fully intend on owning later. For Emerson’s room. Because that’s what I call her, and it would rock.
2. This Eames chair is amazing. Not sure about that price, but what if you found an old, beat up one, and did the whole foil treatment…or spray painted with metallic paint? Eh? Probably a little far fetched, but I do feel inspired!
3. War Eagle, Hey! Not an AU fan? I’m not sure we can be friends. But they have other teams here, too! {I kid, of course. I am so not the obnoxious fan…}
4. I purchased this awesome iphone cover, and then it cracked and peeled after a month, and made me really mad. And I’m starting to think it wasn’t a real iphone cover…just a knock off. Which is sad, because I paid a little more for it. In the mean time, I’ve decided my heart will not so much be broken, if I can have this as my replacement.
5. Target is carrying this yellow cow creamer {found via instagram + a place for us} no longer available online…but I found a pretty cool version, here! This was made for my kitchen...
6. These rain boots come in little sizes. I want a pair for me.
7. The Me Giant shirts are super adorable + super simple. They were kind enough to send us some this week, and we absolutely love them.
8. I’ve been drooling over this pitcher for, like, three months now.
9. Aiden has a play wheelbarrow. Yesterday, we filled up the entire thing with pecans from our tree. I remember riding in one while my dad pushed me. Wheelbarrows make me happy. Just because.
10. This outdoor radio. It’s solar powered, and super cute.
11. This pillow. And the DIY version here. Even though it kind of looks like I’d rather drop a rock on my toe than try it. Anyone who tells me sewing is easy, has an industrial machine, a huge table, lots of super sharp expensive scissors and a plethora of TIME sans tiny toddlers wrecking their work. Yes, I am bitter that my machine keeps eating things.
12. A vintage pull down map. Preferably of the world…but these colors are pretty hard to resist!
13. I have a long running obsession with all things copper. This pendant is amazing. I solemnly swear to find one similar in the future…at a better price. And this touch of herringbone rug makes my day.
And now…drum roll please…for the bonus round…

WOW! Everything old is new again….my mom used to decorate her kitchen in cows/black & white in the late 80’s/early 90’s. She grew up on a farm. We had a creamer just like that only it was black and white. Who knew it would come back in style?!? Too bad she doesn’t have it anymore.

Whoa! Imagine my surprise when I was scrolling through your post only to see my kitchen! THANK YOU! I’m honored to be on your blog š You are a constant source of inspiration!

Fun things!! I chuckle, though – did you mean to put February Edition 2011?? Or did I miss a joke there? If you didn’t – don’t worry, I do that all the time! Takes me at least 4 months to get the new year correct š

NO! It’s 2012? WHY do I keep doing that? I am such a dork! thanks for letting me know. Wow. Lately, I’m super short on general cognitive abilities. ;}

So nice to see how much you love color!! Although beige and all its friends (tan, taupe, cream, ivory, off-white) have a place and are much needed to ground all the color, i think we could use a little siesta from them now and again. We’re only going this way once so why not embrace color…and A LOT of it. (I woke up to a world covered in snow this morning so it was nice to see all your colorful inspirations to balance the white dullness of my morning) Happy weekend!
