It’s been a crazy year.
I’m sure many of you may have felt the same.
Life can be insane with unpredictability and real loops and whammies and all the things that make us feel like we’ve taken a hit in the gut. With a tree trunk. From a medieval battering ram.
Leaving us breathless.
This season can exacerbate it with all of our lists and checking them twice. Obligations are a thing and it can be so easy to get sucked into it, and forget the reason we pause. And take a breath.
And just cherish it.
In a season of humbled thankfulness, is where we find ourselves this year. In a season where we truly want to stay present.
Just be.
We just want to soak it all in – all of it. We want to remember our children’s laughter at this stage of life. And how the house rumbles when the boys wrestle in the living room, even when we tell them not to. And what it felt like to finally move in after all that hard work. How we burned the bacon in the oven. We want to hold on to all of it.
We’re pausing to be grateful for family, and the people who have impacted our lives. The friends who are truly our people. No matter where we find ourselves, with the good and the bad. With the happiness and hurting, imperfections and craziness.
From the things that rip at our hearts, impact us at the core and leave us on our knees… to those that fill us with absolute love and gratefulness.
We’re embracing all of it and where we are, right now.
I want to bottle it up. And keep it there. Because it’s the good and the bad and the learning and the hardships and the amazing moments, that mold us into who we are.
No matter where you find yourself in the walk of life, we hope you have an amazing Christmas and holiday season. We hope you are able to take a moment and cherish it, for what it truly is. Surrounded by the ones you love.
We’re grateful, and remembering the things that matter.
Love and hugs from our family to yours.
