This happens to us every year… and every year we start a post about easy father’s day gift ideas that sounds like this.
At this point, {can we write the word this a little more?} its like every holiday because we’re terrible with keeping up.
So in the grand scheme of totally repeating ourselves, we thought we’d say something here about having a hard time picking gifts {blah blah blah} how most gifts are a little on the cheesy side {blah blah blah} and that here’s a few ideas we found that at least if they were cheesy, were done in good taste. {blah blah. blah blah blah blaaaah.}
Basically, we don’t think fathers are celebrated as much as moms are, and that’s kind of a shame for the hardworking, loving dads out there. My own dad once hilariously pointed out that on Mother’s day, all the praises are sung. Father’s Day is usually filled with pointers on how to be a better dad everywhere from mass media to sermons at church. Isn’t that like, reverse sexism or something? What we do know, is that it’s different for every home, but we think that the times are a changing as far as fatherly participation and previously traditional roles in the home. But digression because that’s like an entirely different psychology/sociology post or something. And we could probably write about it all day long… lucky for you we’ll just skip right along to the pretty stuff, instead.
We just think Dads can use a little more love on Father’s day. So no matter what that role looks like in your home, here’s a few of our fave easy fathers day girft ideas to help us celebrate them.
