‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house,
Everyone was jacked up on sugar, and even the kids were in the dog house.
{Read: the parents suddenly felt bad for their teachers and knew it had been a mad-house.}
Editor’s note: I rhymed house with house like, five times. I’m officially on writer’s probation.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
While those elves made mischief everywhere.
And we do mean everywhere.
Like, why do we do this to ourselves each year, everywhere.
Because it’s magical, that’s why. DUH.
Also, I had to crawl like a ninja to a. get these photos b. said photos don’t do it justice because white yarn, and c. the dogs woke up early and wreaked a little havoc themselves because yarn attached to everything reminds me of that scene from the parent trap.
So much mass confusion.
The parents were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Hawaii danced through their heads;
{No, really. There will be no wakey before 6:30 a.m. Sorry not sorry}
Parodies of this story have been made too many times,
So I’ll stop with the super cheesy, exhausted because it’s almost Christmas, rhymes.
{I kind of recycled this one… that’s how tired I am.}
Thank you for dropping by, and making our year so incredible.
We truly are grateful for each and every one of you.
We hope you have the very best holiday surrounded by those you love and hold dear. Hugs to you!
Wishing you, your sweet family and friends an amazingly wonderful, very merry Christmas.
