Hello lovely friends!
When the fabulous Cabot Stain contacted us about trying out their stain kit, we were more than happy to oblige.
Over the past few months, it’s kind of become our new favorite product. To the point where it has totally replaced our old favorite product. And that’s kind of a big deal, because if you’ve been reading for a while, you know we (once) used it everywhere.
Staining wood is a wonderful way to balance out a lot of elements like whites and bright color in a space, while bringing earth tones to your home.
And a beautiful finish this pretty, deserves to be spread around the home, right?
1. It gave a great look in this project + our entryway.
2. In our studio for our dry erase board + the storage, + these shelves, as well.
3. Of course we had to spread some of the love on our new coffee table top.
4. It was the perfect, finishing touch for our DIY mariners compass {mantel how to, here}
5. And an unexpected table top offered the perfect contrast for this furniture redo, here.
We love all the choices they have for this fun stain. It goes on like paint, super smooth with no blotchiness issues down the road. No obnoxious conditioning, no gross, weird, unpredictable results if you don’t treat it just right. And this may not sound like a big deal, but it is: you won’t ruin your brush if you use it to stain. Easy clean up with water and a little soap, y’all.
It’s a great, dependable product and we love it.
So we popped open this little kit, and decided to have some fun with the finishes for something else useful around our home.
We used one stain on top, and had decided to live on the edge with some of their pretty blue, too. Because we’re wild like that. We then topped it off with some white distressed stripes and a touch of gold.
We decided it would be great in the kitchen…
As a planner to keep up with all of our menu choices throughout the week. We’ve decided to get a little more organized with all of our cooking now that our kids are a little more willing to try more than PB&J, and this little dry erase planner fits the bill.
You can use this with any frame… simply print, and stick it in anything with a glass or plastic front. You could even laminate it {I may not may not be in favor of laminating all of the things} and stick it on your fridge… Then plan away. If you make a mistake, no big deal. Just erase and plan again!
If you want them, we’re offering them in two sizes: {8 x 10 menu + 5 x 7 menu} They’re oh so handy!
Want to know the very bestest most exciting part? {that’s totally a word in my book} Cabot is offering a chance for ten (!) of our readers to try out their product with this fun kit. What an awesome way to give something fresh a whirl! You can even alter this little frame to give away as a gift… or keep it for yourself! {Duh.} Once you try this, you’ll probably be as won over as we are. And use all that leftover stain to go a little crazy on all your fun projects. Stain all the things!
