We’re back today with a fun little project of sorts just in time for the holidays.
It’s so easy, you’ll be all, why are you sharing this?
But from gift toppers to ornaments, these are a really simple idea, full of color and fun and well wishes for all things Christmas.
Here’s what you’ll need: {contains affiliate links}
• clear acrylic disks
• E6000 glue
• Xacto knife + pencil
• ribbon of any kind
• these printables: rejoice, joy-full, believe
Print out your printable above, using the files. We always use card stock because it helps with bleeding on all things glue. It’s also sturdier for your finished product.
Take your printable and carefully cut around the circle provided. We kept it light, and if you look at my cutting job, you’ll see it doesn’t have to be perfect. Just cut carefully, and get it to close, staying on the edges. Take the paper and rotate softly while you press the blade down.
Remove the protective coating from your acrylic disk, and line it up on top of your printed circle.
Taking your pencil, mark where the top hole can go. Go ahead and cut that, as well.
That way there will be no problem threading your ornament when finished!
Take your glue, and using a generous amount, spread it on top of your art.
Placing your acrylic on top, be sure to carefully press down, eliminating all the bubbles. Press gently to the edges, making sure that it smooths out all the way.
If it leaks out on the side, wipe it away once it becomes tacky.
While you’re at it, make sure to press through the top hole with the end of a pencil.
This is so the glue doesn’t clog the top, making it harder to hang later. Once it dries, you’re done!
The cutest little ornament project with so much ease.
We just think this is so different and fun!
We love fun holidays with lots of interesting color.
As always, let us know if you make it.
