We. Had. So. Much. Fun this weekend.
We teamed up with The Green Canteen, some of our favorite people who offer local camper rentals in the Nashville and Franklin area. And we had a little camper party celebrating the beginnings of normalcy, and all things spring!
We were way overdue for a fresh party in your pocket series, and it was such a blast to pull together this really fun photo shoot in our very own back yard!
We were honored to host “Daisy Lou”, {Yes, their adorable vintage campers available for all the fun, have names} and throw a little backyard soirée for our kiddos.
It included a fun setting with the sunset and stars!
Because sunsets. And stars.
And we loved every moment of it.
If you aren’t familiar with The Green Canteen, we did not spring for a vintage camper. And if you’re not in a place to do so either, but would really like to go camping, hang at a local music venue, or have a little party just like this one… The Green Canteen has you covered!
They offer these fabulous rentals in the Nashville + Franklin area, for anyone who would like to have a little fun in the great outdoors.
And we just adore their amazing campers! How can you not?
And of course, we really had fun dressing Miss Daisy Lou up for a fun day with friends.
Isn’t she just the cutest thing you’ve ever seen?
If you love the outside, {And yes, we’re not even to the party yet!} you need to take a quick tour of the inside, too!
It’s just so adorable, Don Draper might pop his head in any moment, and ask what’s for dinner. In which case, I would tell him to make his own dinner. But it would still be fun.
Of course I couldn’t help myself when it came to getting inside to give you guys a little view with a sweet table setting.
This adorable setup reminds me of my grandmother’s kitchen.
Her home was built around this same era, and her cabinets were very similar.
I have a few of my fave vintage pieces I couldn’t help but bring into the little shoot. Hello, adorable casserole dish. This one is a little past the actual camper date, but the pattern was vibing so I went with it.
And this amazing fan that I initially chose for our oldest’s bedroom, was just dying to sit inside for our little shoot.
It probably is around the right decade. PS. It still works.
I couldn’t help but think how this would make the perfect writer’s retreat if someone needs to unplug and get to work. The possibilities really are endless. The fam couldn’t find me a few times this weekend, and I was hiding out here. They’ve already invaded the cabana so this was the next logical place.
We love how fun and truly vintage and fun this feels with all the sweet touches.
And now with that adorable tour out of the way, we set up a sweet little table scape and fire pit outdoors, for the kids to have some fun.
Anyone else as thrilled as we apparently are, that spring is here?
These are our favorite seasons. Basically I’ll take anything but winter. 😀
Printables:
For our free printables, we paired them up with colored pencils made form twigs, and sketchbooks that felt kinda campy.
They made great little party favors.
We also added them to straws for an extra special touch.
S’mores recipes:
We loved including all of our s’mores labels, and for more combo ideas, {because we are shameless food lovers} be sure to check out this post, here.
We just corralled each little ingredient into their own containers to keep everything organized, after dark.
Table:
We love this fun overhead view of their sweet little table!
You may remember this easy picnic table from this project with Frogtape! It made the perfect addition for all things set up, outdoors.
Rug from here. I just gathered pillows from around the house and inside the cabana to add to a little colorful fun. I mean, the party had to have color.
Firefly Jars:
Something else we had fun pulling together, are these firefly jars. It’s too early for all things fireflies, but they’re our very favorite thing in the summer. Instead of a catch and release plan, these make for a great centerpiece and all things camping parties!
What you’ll need:
These have solar panels on the top, so they switch on when it gets dark.
And the little handles make them the cutest things ever! We’ll be using these all summer when we have guests.
We think they had so much fun at this little just-because gathering.
Because after this last year, it’s nice to gather in small numbers {when it’s safe of course} and just feel normal for a moment.
We loved pulling all of this together, with the perfect backdrop.

Crafts:
Would it be a camper party without some sort of almost-survivalist craft thingy for kids to put together?
NO. No it wouldn’t. Yes, I did have fun with all of this.
So we put together tiny compasses with paracord bracelets.
They just slide right on the bracelet of their choice. We all know party crafts can’t be too involved because their attention span, even for older kids, won’t last that long. They’d rather hang but this was fun while they chatted it up and we waited for dinner.
We think they enjoyed putting them together, and it was a super simple favor!
When kids get older, I feel like a party at our house is just pizza and pool time, which is perfect. But they really enjoyed this camper party. It can be so much fun for tweens and teens. And of course, little kiddos, too. We love that The Green Canteen has these fun vintage campers available in the Nashville area for rentals!
From camping excursions to music festivals and so much more.
When it was closer to dusk, it was time for all things s’mores!
You just can’t beat that dogwood tree at night, with a few stars overhead. So much fun!
When it was dark, it was really Kichler’s time to shine.
Their bluetooth speaker lanterns are some of our very favorites, and absolutely perfect for all things back yard fun!
As always, thanks so much for tuning in to our fun ideas. We hope you enjoyed this eye candy! We love their fun campers.
Special thanks to The Green Canteen – be sure to check them out and follow along on instagram! Keep them in mind for your next event or party, too.
And also to our wonderful models, who had fun in the process. {At least I like to think I don’t throw a lame party…}
We truly had a blast putting all of this together.
As always, let us know if you can use these fun printables.
We’d love to see. Be sure to use the hashtag #thehandmadehomefreebies on instagram!
Happy party planning!
Have an inspired day!
