Hey hey and happy 51st Earth Day!
It’s always such a happy celebration, and we love giving anything for the earth a shout out! Today we thought it felt good to share just a few of our very favorite ways to celebrate and preserve the earth. We truly feel it’s our duty to help our kiddos become citizens of the world, by sharing with them how to care for it. We’ll be leaving it behind to them, after all. We’ve made a lot of changes personally in our lives over the last few years from big to small, and we love moving together as a family and a company, to do what we can.
To celebrate, Greenworks Tools has launched an all new website. It’s called Greenworks Generation, and here, you can find all kinds of ideas, from caring for your lawn, to how to build a recycling and garden center. You can add content, too! It’s a great and easy way to make the switch to care for the environment, and join a community of Greenworks Tools aficionados everywhere. Be sure to check them out!
So without further ado, here are a few of our fave ways to celebrate earth day!
1. Celebrating Earth Day: Our free Earth Day Printables
Check out our free Earth Day printables, with fun ideas, family activities, educational information and more! Our kids had a great time with these, last year. {Be sure to recycle when you’re done, or use the digital version by clicking in the post!} Wildflower bombs anyone? We have the recipe.
2. Celebrating Earth Day: Build a Recycling + Garden Center
Something that has been a major game changer for our family, is building our own recycling and garden center. It’s helped us become more efficient with recycling as a family, now that we have a system. It’s also been a big help with fun gardening projects this spring! It also got rid of a little bit of that remaining eyesore in the back… Ew, David. Next up, we’ll be planting our wildflower garden!
This was our before… and here’s the after.
3. Celebrating earth day: Plant a tree!
A little yard improvement by planting trees in your yard, is a beautiful way to celebrate as a family. Each of our kids have their own tree in our front yard. They talk about them all the time, especially with the change of the seasons. Last year was a great moment to really pause and pay attention to what was going on around us, and notice more. Since that post, we’ve added 147 plants + trees to our yard! So green it up!
Bonus: Celebrating earth day – some of our favorite tools for spring!
We’ve rounded up some of our very fave tools for spring. A major bonus, of course, is that they’re good for the environment, too. Check out our round up, here!
We hope you feel inspired by some of our favorites.
Thanks so much for tuning in, and happy happy Earth Day! Be sure to check out the wonderful new site by Greenworks, here!
Have an inspired day!

I love how you and your family celebrate’Earth Day.” When my kids was younger, we would read books about the earth, as well as picking up paper if we saw any, in our neighborhood. Each year we would add one additional new thing to do for the earth.
