Hi Amy! We love our brick patio and it has held up wonderfully. The aged/wash part, however, could definitely use a redo this spring, depending on how much or little you like in that department. It definitely wears away over time. I think it's just a preference really, because the brick itself still looks "aged" it's just not as heavily washed as it was. So what I'm trying to say is, I think that over time, it needs a touch up or two, if you like the heavier look. We are going on year four here. Hope that helps!

How is your brick patio holding up? A couple years ago we white mortar washed our chimney and love how it turned out. We just laid a brick patio using old brick but unfortunately had to add new brick to complete the job and the red/orange color screams out to me. I would love to tone it down and contemplate doing a grey wash like you did to make it aged and cohesive but am concerned it will look dirty. Would love an update, you did an amazing job!! Any advice appreciated

We inherited brick very similar to this brick. We were worried about the holes collecting water and disintegrating. Did this project hold up? What kind of sand did you use? Thanks! The porch looks great!

Love this look! I have a new seating area in the 'design' stage, meaning that I'm still mulling over just what I'll be doing. I am hoping for the ghost scenario with your sunglasses - you have a better chance of getting them back that way :) This entire patio seating area is so beautiful!
