I know sometimes the step-by-step tutorials become much more clear to me when filmed “in real life”. That tricky way you made a cut or the what to look for on your paint finish when doing a project now becomes crystal clear in video. There are lots of opportunities for teaching us DIY-ers on the video route. So I would really love to see video tutorials.

We totally understand the whole video vs blog thing which is why we hadn’t pursued it until now.

We also understand videos just aren’t for some people. The idea is for the two to work hand in hand. We will still be writing here just as much as ever – it’s our number one passion. Even tutorial videos will be accompanied by a written post. Eventually, we won’t even share our videos here, which is why we asked for true subscribers so that those who are interested can find them on our youtube channel. Nothing here will change and I hope that helps.

Look at it as a nice little supplementary segment for anyone who is interested in the “other side”. We’re expanding because there are video people out there who just prefer videos. ;} Whichever we do, we hope we find readers and viewers who very much enjoy. ;} We will still work on both venues, and will not be abandoning this one by any means.

I mostly read blogs at work so I can’t play videos, and even then I’m too ADD/impatient to listen to a video. Anyway, my point is that if you move forward with this plan (yay!) maybe try to include some kind of copy summary with it?
