What’s that color? It’s been a while since we’ve compiled all of this, and I thought it might be a little useful to have it all in one place. This is our most asked question, and I’m constantly looking things up because I have now chosen so many paint colors, between our own home and clients… it’s impossible to remember. And also because I’m old. But it was definitely time to update it, now that we’ve added so many fun back yard things. So without further ado, we’re excited to put it all together… paint colors in our home!
here’s the before of the outside of our home.
We’ll start with the Entire outside rehab with the amazing Window World, since this is a common question.
And a side note: We have used all Sherwin Williams brands of paint throughout our home. Some of them are a part of their HGTV line available at Lowe’s. To simplify, I have mostly Sherwin Williams colors listed, and pulled them {or similar ones} for the house, from the Sherwin Williams line.
Outside selections:
• Siding – Platinum Gray
• Shakes – 826 Moon Rock
• Soffit + Fascia – White with Hidden Vent {So we didn’t have to look at those anymore}
• Porch Ceiling -Mystic Blue {Solid}
• Shutters – 3 Raised Panel in 95 Dark Navy
• Gutters and Downspouts in White – to come
• Front Door – Classic-Craft {Their American Style Collection} in Cherry
As far as our exterior paint colors, we loved using Sherwin Williams Paint colors: Exterior Architectural Super paint Satin Extra White.
Paint color of side door + front porch – Sherwin Williams Aviatrix – part of their HGTV home line.
For what it’s worth, this color is very similar – just a shade lighter than SW Porpoise, which is what we’ve painted our fence… photos coming soon.
• Back Door – Full glass double swing door in SW Seaworthy 7620 + Mindful Gray 7016
another fave before and after!
Side porch area:
Chairs + table top = SW Kendal Green
Privacy wall = Super paint Satin Extra White + SW breaktime
End chairs + tabletop = SW Mindful Gray
In the hideaway:
Thompson’s® Water Seal® in Signature Series Semi-transparent –Honey Gold –We love how it played so well with all the paint color for a great contrast.
• Marshmallow – HGSW4063 – The white exterior that you see
• Nurture Green – HGSW2275 – That yummy green color
• Balanced Beige – HGSW2486 – For the trim

And the cabana… because here’s the before… ew David.
We brought in a lot o fun shades with the amazing Sherwin Williams {with the help of Frogtape®!} – see more on that post, here.
To prep it all to paint, we started with wood exterior primer it took care of all those potential bleeding spots!
• Extra White is the main color you see here, we even used it on our main house. So for the privacy wall, house, cabana and more, it’s our go to, beautiful bright white.
• Mindful Gray – for the trim on the cabana
• Blushing – that pretty light pink color you see
• Breaktime – for the blue stripes and other touches
• Convivial Yellow – that soft yellow on the ceiling – which tied in nicely with the rest
Inside: we’ve broken it down to these basic colors.
Because the process happened over time and we were pulling from two different collections, {they’re very similar} I’ve simplified it here.

A lot of people want to know if we ever get tired of that blue. I’m still in love with it throughout our home, four years later. So the answer to that, would be no.
It’s the perfect, soft blue. I also think it just blends in perfectly with the rest of our home.
Table: Bungalow Beige – Finish – Super Paint Velvet
Daybed + Armoire: Agate Green – Finish – Super Paint Velvet – Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel – you can see one shade up in the handmade hideaway – nurture green.
