psssst…. shop our spaces here!
Remember Heather + Andrew’s Story? A few months back, we were thrilled to team up with some friends, and begin the Sisco home remodel. The project was wrapped up over the holidays, and we’ve loved being able to share Andrew’s master bed + bath remodel, and kitchen remodel, here. Today, we’re sharing the kids hallway bath redo, and we can’t wait to show you this transformation!
Here’s a quick shot I snapped of the before, and as you can see, it needed a little bit of love.
That glorious pink tile hadn’t been touched since 1960 {?} something. We did a little flipperoo with the arrangement, {that’s totally a word, right?} and knocked an adjoining wall back, eliminating a hallway closet to allow for more space in this bath. Heather and Andrew’s two kiddos {a 6th grade boy and 3rd grade girl} are sharing the bath, and needed something not only a little updated, but high functioning and appropriate for them, as well.
With all things new, the bathroom went from this…
To this.
As you may be able to tell, it was a bit of a tight squeeze, so it made it a challenge to truly capture the glorious transformation that was this bath. We feel like my photography doesn’t do it justice, but the change made a big difference.
Anyone else feel like they can breathe a little easier? I can just from looking at the photos! It’s mostly in part from the beautiful light of their new window. This great addition with Window World, and a changeover with all things trim, made a great vibe and really opened up the small wall in the space.
Goodbye awkward pink shower. Hello, beautiful tile {Allegro Dawn} from Jeffrey Court – Available at Home Depot. The new design is so clean and refreshing.
We love that the spacious shower stall now makes the room more efficient, while allowing lots of space and light, which is something the small space desperately needed for an over all, cleaner feel.
Isn’t it gorgeous next to the soft blue? We loved carrying the subway tile over past the shower stall, and beyond the glass so that it didn’t divide the space, but helped unify, and open it up.
So even though the bathroom is small, it makes it feel so much larger.
We decided to go with a single sink vanity for the two kiddos, so that they could really utilize that countertop space.
It’s something both of them will probably appreciate more when they’re a little older.
We also topped it all off with polished chrome accents in the pivoting mirror, and beautifully simple lights in chrome from Kichler. They’re our go-to for all things lights and our very favorite source.
Then we brought in a few more little hooks that not only looked oh so adorable on the wall, but function cleverly for both kids.
The bathroom feels twice as large as it did before. We loved creating more useable space with their valuable real estate. With lots of storage in the vanity and simple accents, it offers great options to grow into!
We loved transforming this space for such a precious family. Thank you for letting us share this tour with you today.
What’s your favorite element? We’d love to hear!
Have an inspired day!

I love the shower with the white tile and solid glass doors. They are beautiful and it all looks so clean and fresh! I’m sure that the kids will enjoy using a shower so much more than the tub with the pink tile.

Did you move the toilet yourself and re-plumb, or hire someone to do that?
