Hey everyone!
The other night, we were feeling festive, so we decided to pull out the table and chairs, and have a little summertime soirée in the handmade hideaway. While our dining area in the back is a little tied up right now, with all things construction work, we find that sometimes, you have to get creative.
But first, you need to check out what today is all about!
Today I’m joined by over 20 of my talented blogging friends who are also sharing their outdoor spaces with you…

This is our original handmade hideaway – the kids’ summertime hang out.
Because garden lights, lanterns, colorful sodas and a little diy music, kind of create a sweet little celebration for the every day.
At least before it gets too hot outside., anyway. Not pictured: the glorious gathering of fireflies – those are our very favorite back yard accessory.
We’re all about comfortable and relaxing, with a little bit of fun.
Layered plates and easy table runners with a bit of color are always easy fun!
This one always has a book in his hand.
{I feel like I’ve succeeded at something, because I’d like to take credit for something. But I swear it must be random genetics ;}}
While we were outside the other night, here’s a quick tour of what the inside usually looks like, though I can say for certain it’s absolutely trashed right now with all their nerf guns and even a few sleds… {because reality} we do love to make it pretty for the occasional photo.
The handmade hideaway was designed and built by us, and painting it was a true labor of love. We think all the colors are part of what makes it oh so fun and playful.
We love our little trap door/hatch that leads down to the bottom level,
Perfect for nighttime camp outs.

What a magical spot for your kids to enjoy all summer. Kind of makes me think back to our treehouse growing up. Sweet memories.
