psssst…. shop our spaces here!
I can easily say that this may be the most anticipated project {for us, but more so for our amazing client} of the year. So I guess it’s exciting to start off with a bang!
When Barbara came to us with this awesome idea, she wanted an indoor pool for therapy for her knee. She works hard full time, and also rescues and rehabs dogs, which is another full time job on it’s own. I personally believe there’s a special place in Heaven for people like Barbara and the beyond amazing work they do. If you’ve been reading for a while, then you know we have a heart for rescues, and love what she does. So we decided to create Heaven on Earth, just for her.
We were thrilled to put our heads together and work with her on some fun ideas. So without further ado, the pool house.
There are no real before and afters, since this is a new build {it would have been a photo of her amazing property and an open field.} So it’s fun to give you a little tour of sorts today, as if you were dropping by for a visit, er, swim.
We love the adorable entryway on the front, and the inside sports an endless pool, so she can work on helping rehab her knee. We wanted to help make it a real sanctuary for her.
So we brought in plenty of natural light, along with some beautiful, serene finishes.
And of course, some color.
Barbara’s changing room is a spot just for her, so that she can get into gear with all things swimming!
And yes, I will take the pool boy sign… it rings! The perfect piece for her wall.
{I fully plan on adding one to our own addition-coming soon!}
I love her cozy set up in this space!
The bar area was definitely one of our very favorite creations. We adore the fact that she’s created a great area to entertain friends in their own little spot!
This little fridge is one of Barbara’s favorites, so in this little alcove, it can sit nicely here. Who doesn’t love ice cold glass bottles of coke? Classic.
We created a seating area to entertain in the corner, too. The versatile coffee table doubles as a storage area for extra things.
This fun view from the bar is awesome. This really is the perfect space to entertain friends!
Such a serene area to get your therapy on!
I can honestly say we’re having withdrawals now that we’re done.
A few products that you ay have noticed for this project:
Does the tile look familiar? Of course part of what made the space so sublimely serene is Jeffrey Court!
This flooring is the fabulous Oakwood Lilly and around the pool, we installed Allegro White.
On the bar, she chose Allegro White Fan and they all work wonderfully together.
These gorgeous blinds from select blinds {in Nassau} made the windows!
They integrated seamlessly into part of the space while keeping it light and airy.
The lighting: Kichler does it again!
The sconces you see on the wall are a part of the Colerne Collection. They’re absolutely stunning.
Two of these hanging pendant lights helped anchor the space and bring in some great texture.
This chandelier is everything.
Even her garage area of the pool house has style: Two of Kichler’s beautiful Aldergate Foyer Lights are hanging in her garage so the space is awesomely illuminated.
She also used this fabulous light overhead in her dressing room.
Annnd… sometimes codes {and things totally outside your control} slap you with some rules that don’t really make much sense. That’s when this amazing company Vent Covers Unlimited with some beautiful vent covers swoop in for the rescue. We can’t sing their praises enough. This is the same company that we have on our own staircase, and LOVE the look. It makes you want to show off those return vents instead of the ‘typical’ {kinda boring, if you ask us} look.
Barbara’s TV was effortlessly mounted on the tile, so it can swivel, tilt and more.
This awesome Sanus TV mount – we’ll be sharing more about it but love the way it made the tv awesomely functional with all the options.
We can’t thank you enough for dropping by, and hope you enjoyed this not-so-little project.
After photographing this puppy last week, we can honestly say we’re now having spa-like withdrawals. I guess that means we did the job well.
