If your weekend was anything like ours, it probably looked a little like the frenzy of photos below…
First ever t-ball games, duck feedings, and art museum visits…
Easter celebrations with family, and so many egg hunts your eyes are now crossed…No, I didn’t eat too much. That’s my sis in law and their second sweet little girl to arrive this July! And no, my brother wasn’t throwing eggs in the air for fun. Okay. Maybe. That’s his mad juggling skillz. Yeah…we do stuff like that and take pictures of it. That’s how we roll.
From the top: My parents with their grandchildren {to date.} That early morning Easter frenzy, and capturing that look on their faces-who knew such excitement could come from a package of M&M’s? It really is the little things.
Unfortunately, that was the best shot I got of our crew Easter Sunday. But I’m riding this cash cow all the way to the bank and doing the whole over-the-top matching nonsense, while I can. Aiden is 6, and he doesn’t seem to mind, now. One day when they have a slideshow at their rehearsal dinner, these photos will be front and center, while they sigh and bury their heads in embarrassment. It’s why I’m here.
I haven’t been holding out on you. That barn above isn’t ours. Jamin’s grandparents live about forty five minutes from us, on the farm they raised all their children on. We enjoyed time with them, as well! And a little exploring, of course…{sigh} That’s his mom, below.
Just a little peek at what we were up to all weekend.
You can find me this Monday morning buried in chocolate and easter goodies overload, on my shrunken lumpy sofa. No. I’m not quite ready to let it go.
But I am getting there.
Maybe.
Happy Monday, everyone! Here’s to hitting the ground running, and other vague metaphorical whatnots ;} Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

What a great bunch of pictures! I especially love your best shot of the kids on Easter. Hilariously typical! I can never get a good shot of my two looking normal at the same time.
That barn is spectacular! I’m totally jealous! Looks like you had a great weekend đ

Thank you! glad you had wonderful weekends as well! I know I went all ‘mom blog’ on everybody. Gotta do that every now and again-since it’s my main job and all ;}

Love the pictures! That brings a question to mind (ok 3 actually). I would love to see you give some advice on taking good pictures and some of your tricks. The second, how in the world, seriously do you manage it all? I have 2 kids and I don’t accomplish 1/4 of what you can whip up? Third, now that all the holidays are over how do I decorate my insanely ugly corner fireplace mantle? Someone seriously needs to tell builders that it creates design nightmares! From arranging the room to decorating the hole of corners, just hate a corner fireplace! Hope you have a mellow week, if there is such a thing!

Hey greer! I actually have a series coming up, by my own fave photographer that should help shed a little light on that! can’t wait-so glad you asked! send me a photo of your fireplace-I do room redos {trying to average one a month because they kill me} but I’d love to give you some suggestions for your fireplace-I have a vicious love hate with all of them! ;}

Love the Easter weekend pix! And, I am SOOooo sorry about your sofa, but your reference in this post to its shrunken lumpiness has me laughing out loud. Keep smiling. Maybe if you washed the sofa cushions, they would shrink and it would all work again?? Yeah, nevermind.
