Handmade Hide-away

We really liked the handmade hide-away idea for our back yard. We changed a few things such as where the slide is located and how we covered the roof. The stairs needed to accomodate me safely, so they are made from 2×8 boards with less of an incline. This project made so much more sense than spending more money on pre-fabbed play houses. It ended up costing us close to $1,200. The kids love it and ask to eat their dinner in their house all the time. Thanks for the great idea.

  1. If I had that in my backyard, I would be asking to eat my dinner in there too! SO CUTE!

  3. too cute for words clever and adorable

  4. How did you anchor the treehouse to the grass?

    1. There are several ways you can do this, from cementing the post into the ground to tie-downs to even placing cement footers in the ground to bolt the structure to. I hope that helps some.
