fall fete {the painted fox challenge}
Howdy, y’all! If you’re stopping by for the first time from Funky Junk Interiors, welcome! We’re so glad to have you here!

When Painted Fox invited us to partake in this fab event, we were more than excited to join! The challenge: they sent us a combo of farm house swag from their store, and we were to use it in a fun way in our home!
Of course, when we opened the package, we were thrilled at its little treasure trove of contents. We received a beautiful fisherman’s glass bottle, and distressed tray.
So we did what anyone else would do {duh} and took it outside.

It’s finally {kind of} starting to cool down here in the tropics of Alabama, and we felt the weather called for a Fall Fete of sorts.
It’s more like a bit of summer’s last stand.. but fall fete sounds official so let’s roll with it.

Complemented with some good old fashioned bar-b-que, {and s’mores, of course}.
The kids absolutely adore it when we dress up the table… It’s seriously one of our favorite things when we give the every day a little extra sparkle every now and then.
It’s the every day that deserves the sparkle.
Because sometimes you have a bad week, so you just have to get outside, polish up the extra and enjoy it.

Especially the marshmallows bit.

These little pieces bring an easy accent to our table, and you can use them in so many other ways! They fell seamlessly into our little tabletop stash – I love to keep a small area with pieces I can mix for fresh looks, every time.

Chloe even wanted in on the fun.

Our oldest fell had a bit of nasty road rash on his face from some good old fashioned razor scooter riding fun, so the day called for outside distractions. He’s feeling better now… between his incident and Chloe’s little shaved legs {she just started chemo} we’re all about keepin’ it real today.

Sometimes, it’s the little things that can brighten anyone’s terrible horrible no good very bad day.

We were all in for some simple fall fun!

Thanks again to Painted Fox for the fun goodies! We love our bright, fun tabletop fete!
Don’t miss it… be sure to hop on over and see what Finding Home did with her awesome Painted Fox finds!
Have an inspired day!

Beautiful! You did The Painted Fox proud! I really love that tray… hmmm… must go search this out…
This is such a great idea. I love seeing what all you guys have done! Perfect.
I love BOTH of your pieces… however, that chippy red tray truly steals the show. I’m ready to head your way for a cookout. What time should we plan for? 🙂
Fun fact about the terrible horrible no good very bad day – being Australian, our version always said Alexander wanted to move to Timbuktu. This year I bought a hardback copy from overseas, and all along it’s been Australia! My kids were agog! Sadly, we sometimes have terrible horrible no good very bad days here too, just like his Mum says. Mums know best 🙂
That. Is the best fact. I have heard all week. And month. LOVE. ;}
You guys have the best back yard ever. Period. LOVE.
Super cute and love all the colors 🙂 Great pic of your dog on ladder!!
love this!
