And then we have 6 – 12 in a plaid. We didn’t know if they still participate in such shenanigans when they get that age… or if they’re too cool.

…Or if they play along for the sake of mom.

This is about the best we can do nowadays, so I’m not sure how we’ll be faring by the time they’re older.

  1. Could you make a sign for preschool?? My daughter starts this year.
    Thanks!
    Sara

  2. Soooooooooooooooooooooooo not ready. Our shipment of school supplies have arrived amongst the most evil of summer colds that we ALL have, so we haven’t even opened the boxes yet. Seriously…how do we delay this thing? I need a couple more weeks to wrap my head around it.

Thank you for the printables…we have the tradition of taking pics every year with the grade sign, too. This year, thanks to you, it’ll have more panache! :0)

    1. Booooo Cee! There should be a law against colds in the summer! We actually decided to go ahead and start next week, and only because we’re dropping it all and going to the beach in a few weeks and since we also don’t know when we’ll be moving… WOMP WOMP. Otherwise, I think I’d push it to September! HA! Take time and rest up – no one feels motivated to do anything with a cold – those are the worst!

      1. Thank you. 🙂 I’m a bit envious of a beach trip, I’ll admit. Some rays and sand sound SO good right now…okay, it always sounds good to this landlocked gal. I wish you much success in moving…it takes guts and faith.

  3. I just LOVE your rug that looks like notebook paper! Where did you find it?

  4. Sara Breeggemann says:

I am like you. Excited, but not quite ready yet. Course, I still have almost a month. I’m sure I’ll be ready then!

Also, I think you spelled “eighth” wrong on the template. Could you fix so I could print that one? THanks!

  5. This is such a cut post! I love the idea of the signs as well, that way you’ll always remember which year was which! Looking back on photos I tend to forget the years more often than I remember : )

    Thanks for sharing!
