best fall fashion finds

Anyone else confused about what’s “in” this fall? Like, are they skinny jeans with boots and not booties, yet it’s okay if they’re past the ankle? Or wide-leg with platform sneakers… and why do the old episodes of SATC circa 2000 suddenly look in style again? If you’re still rocking that side part like me because your stylist told you “not to cave” {and you actually feel this is her telling you that you can’t pull it off even though Jennifer Aniston has one, and she’s older and now you’re feeling salty about it}… come sit with me for a bit. Because I’ve been doing a little digging, purging my closet, {though I realize why people have giant closets because as soon as I donated those pointy toes like three years ago, they’re back… DANGIT} whilst scouring the internets for those key pieces to update this fall. I’m just a girl standing in front of her closet with absolutely nothing to wear begging not to look like a baked potato. FWIW, you can pry my JCrew flare khakis from my cold, dead fingers because ANY DAY NOW. Emerson really served that model walk {so be sure to check out her video here}. Without further ado: The Best Fall Fashion Finds!

 As mentioned above, I recruited my middle to help me with some of her faves. No worries, she was handsomely compensated in… clothing. The beauty of a daughter is that you can trade. {Psssst… some of these contain affiliate links so thank you for understanding.}

I’ll start with a Clueless Throwback because skirts are back, especially in plaid. I’m not sure when they left the building, but apparently they did. You can wear this skirt in so many ways, but I paired these with tights, a black tee {if you like a little room, size up}, and this amazing wool blend coat, which strongly resembles a Jcrew knockoff. Similar boots, here. {For the record, I think I can sway this one toward the Auburn vibes next time, and I may circle back around with a few different ways to style.}

Next up, we paired this cute jacket with these jeans. {Similar pair, here.} + these shoes {similar, but you can definitely shop around} + ribbon shoelaces. Granny style with a twist FTW.

I love this velvet dress as a quick throw-on with lots of casual style for fall. And yes, it has pockets. I paired the dress with these boots. – hurry, they’re half off now.

Free people dupe, anyone? We didn’t even do it on purpose, but I love all the available colors, here. Paired with these clogs in brown + boyfriend jeans. {similar}

And since we’re on the topic of dupes, check this one out, here. I’m a sucker for anything with stars. True story. It’s a little thin, but I do love it as an every day shirt. Available in multiple colors. Paired with these jeans. {Similar pair, here.} + Shoes.

These adorable sweatpants {multiple colors} paired with clogs + tee. {similar}

This sweater is made with the cutest pattern + it’s oh so soft. Again, available in multiple colors. Paired with jeans {similar} + sneakers.

The comfiest yoga pants, and these come with pockets to boot! We love it with a baggy sweatshirt – no longer available but this one has similar vibes + cute shoes.

I’ve had this dress for a few years now, it’s available in multiple colors, and you can probably see why it’s a best-seller on Amazon. The silhouette is super flattering, and you can pair it with shoes like these or these for a fall look.

This sweater can be worn off the shoulder or as a usual silhouette. Love it paired with these clogs in brown + boyfriend jeans. {similar}. College is calling. They want my clothes back.

I’ve had this shirt for a while now, and it’s oh-so-cute in multiple colors. I heard somewhere that large hobo bags are “in” along with burgundy and olive green for all things color. Really, I do what I want, but I had fun sourcing this one for a great, every-day, easy bag. Paired with jeans {similar} + shoes.

I have even more fun finds in my fall round-up here, and I’ll be updating as much as I can. So be sure to check all of them out here.
