simple grad gift idea

It’s grad season! And if you have a high school student in your life, you’ll probably be invited to quite a few parties. Since it was Emerson’s senior year, we knew we’d be involved in quite a few. For something special, we decided to go the handmade route, and today I thought I’d share a simple grad gift idea!

I even did another version a few years ago. It was so loved, we whipped out another version. I had to wait to share these because we didn’t want to spoil the surprise, but save them for next year or later in the summer. You never know when you can use this great idea!

Easy peasy, and you can give them as a set or with little goodies inside. It helps if you have lots of grads to think about – because you know they’ll actually use them!

What you’ll need: I’ve put everything in a list here for you {some of these are affiliate links – thank you for understanding!} for lots of options. But basically, a glue gun and fabric sticks {really, any glue stick will do… even if they say they’re iron-on, I still use the glue gun with fabric glue} A pouch of some kind, tassels, and a jump ring set.

Simply line up your patches where you’d like them to go, and lightly tack down with your glue gun. Then fill in the gaps once you’re happy with the placement, making sure they’re all even. Using a jump ring, attach a tassel or two of your choice! I have lots of options here.

Tada! Your gift is ready.

So many fun options, no matter the version!

Have you tried this yet? As always let us know if you do. Have an inspired day!
