We’re excited to be back today to have a little round up of sorts… It’s almost gift giving season and we’re gearing up for the holidays with some of our own favorite ideas to share! We rounded up some of our very faves…. Both handmade, and from our own line available exclusively in the studio.
So without further ado, the first in our series of installments : gift ideas for kids!1. Under the Sea Marquee Light – The perfect {amazing, if we do say so ourselves} accessory for any kiddo’s space. Or ours, if we’re being totally honest… Because everyone should have a seahorse that lights up. It should be a standard requirement for awesomeness levels in the home or something.
Fill the room in a nice warm glow with our under the sea marquee light – Your room isn’t cool without it.
2. Ticker Tape Parade Monogram Stationery – an adorable little stationery set for the older kiddos who love all things mail – You’ve found it. The perfect one of a kind gift. Monograms AND stripes. If you’re their distant relative you can give it to them, and then guilt them over not writing you a thank you note IN THAT stationery. It’s a win win for you as an adult.
3. Make your own branch crayons with our fun little how to here, or involve them in the project for a fun family craft.
Because everyone needs handmade branch crayons. They’re like the hipster version of crayons. You kid can go back to school and be all, my crayons are way cooler than your crayons. Because that’s how you roll.
4. Every Time A Bell Rings, An Angel Gets His Wings.
Get into the spirit of things with this little sign that may look a bit christmasy, but could truly be adorable all year round. Our very favorite quote from our very favorite movie in the history of ever. I may or may not make the entire family watch it every Christmas. And then cry. It’s like, my thing. And those of you who are traditionalists as well, totally understand. Simple, bright hand-lettered typography brings the quote to life, and a flare to your space. The possibilities are endless. Available in canvas and prints!
Okay just kidding. Really this is for you. Because your kids probably don’t watch things in black and white, just like ours. They’re all, ‘Is this over yet?’ and ‘Can we go play the X Box now?’ No shame. They’ll appreciate it one day.
5. This handmade map puzzle {and a world one, too!} is so much fun for a handmade gift! It’s free, with just a few supplies from you.
Oh and if you don’t want to make one… get a large and in charge one here {or in 16 x 20!} Because your kids need to learn their states. And this is fun. And interactive. And stuff.
6. Whale of a Tale Pillow
This sweet little pillow is just asking to be added to your kiddo’s space. Who wouldn’t love these happy little guys?
Our 6 year old is begging for them, and we won’t give them to him. We said, ‘Sorry buddy. This is going to help pay for your college education, so you can’t have this whale pillow. Readers come first.’ He cried for a while and then got over it. Because College.
7. A no sew teepee! All the cool parents are doing it. Good luck on the rest of your life with no soul if you don’t make this.
8. This wallpaper. Because again, kids don’t really read this site, and this is really for you to put in their room and then feel super special. But it’s still a good idea anyway, and looked awesome on the inspiration board.
9. See ya Later Alligator + After a While Crocodile.
Perfect for a kid’s space, or just an adult with good taste, these See Ya Later Alligator + After a While Crocodile prints are super adorable if we do say so ourselves. We’re picturing it over a shared space with matching beds. If anyone wants to get all cute and send us a picture of how you use it, we would not be sad.
Also, if you know the difference off the top of your head between an alligator and a crocodile, we will be so impressed. Because we’re really bad at science and we know it’s something to do with salt water. We’re going to go Google now. Shhhh don’t tell our kids. Edumacation is important.
10. A handmade dollhouse.
All the details and series here with full how tos. Because you have tons of time on your hands. But seriously. This gift was actually really fun, and we decorated all the rooms with Emerson. She was the designer in charge. It’s a great project to do over time, with your little one once you build the shell. So much fun!
Thanks for stopping by today. And putting up with us and our bouts of odd humor/sarcasm. Because sometimes that’s how we roll.
Making any gifts this holidaisical season? We’d love to hear your ideas!
As always, enjoy free shipping on all our products, and check out the rest of our studio here!

OMG Ashley! I’ve been away from your blog for several months as my husband and I have been up to our eyeballs building our forever home from the ground up. I had some free time tonight and I thought I’d check in to see if you’ve moved to Nashville yet and then BAM!! I open your site and I’m like “what the heck?!?! Is this the right page???” So much has changed. Your store has exploded with a crazy amount of exciting new things. Just wanted to say Congrats! to you and the fam. I love that you and yours are truly embracing all the creativity that has been bestowed upon you and giving it your best go. Truly Inspiring. I’ll try to read a little bit more often but we’re moving in 13 days so lots to do. See you soon…
