At least with March comes Daylight Savings Time so there's more daylight in the late afternoon/early evening. I grew up in Alabama where it was warmish for Thanksgiving and Christmas but if we were going to get snow it was going to happen in March! It may be seriously cold but at least we had more daylight!

I like January. I call it my hibernation month. But then I'm older and don't *have* to go out if I don't want to. This year in Virginia we've had a very warm January and so far February is doing the same. I still have my S N O W letters in the kitchen window just in case they might make something happen, one can only hope. And girl, I'm with you on the chocolate, M&Ms have been my addiction for many years now. So here's cheers to January, snow, hibernation, and definitely chocolate!

SO true! I do feel like I just canceled out my three pound weight loss by giving into my general feelings about the weather and non-stop sickness over here! It's time for spring.

I can relate. I actually like January after the crush of Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. A little down time. Then comes February...a month known for freezing drizzle, colds and flu, weight gain. Bah. March, though, is a month of promise. The sunrise is brighter, the opportunity to actually walk outside and not slide on ice or have your dog pull you down into the snow while pulling on the leash(stupid chihuahua/terrier aggression), possible buds on the early blooming shrubs. I can see tiny signs of spring. Hope!
