make it sparkle: free cleaning printables

Happy Friday, y’all!

If any of you have jumped on the organic cleaning train, you may slowly but surely be weeding out the little bottles chemical stuff from under your cabinets.

And if you are, you may quickly learn after ordering some of these puppies, that without labels, it’s kind of hard to keep up with what’s what. I was all proud of my fabulous concoctions after reading this awesome book, but quickly realized I had to sniff it to remember what I’d made.

Uh, is this wood cleaner or glass cleaner?

And let’s be honest… aromatherapy in cleaning like this, deserves some pretty little labels.

We tried, anyway.

cleaning_labels_freeStarting with the basics, we thought we’d provide some fun, graphic options to replace those bright bottles we’re accustomed to purchasing at the store. Just a few that would be a good starting place for anyone interested in taking it on.

Anything to motivate the cleaning I need to do this week…

linen_spray organic_cleaning_free_labelsI simply printed + laminated with my new laminator that is totally rocking my world. I figured this way when they get wet, and they will, it’s not the end of the world. Nerd alert. You could totally print these on sticker paper, but why not up the anté in the super dork department? #laminateallthethings #sorrynotsorry

Either way will probably make you happy.

free_cleaning_printablesHere’s a little of what you can find here: in large and smaller sizes.

Just click, print + go to town! – Each label comes as a set of two sizes, and will easily work on an 8 x 10 sheet. Just pick what works best for you!

  1. Love the labels, thank you!

Need to know where you got those spray bottles- please. Thanks !

      1. great, thank you!

I really resent paying shipping on Amazon but I can’t find nice looking bottles at this size so I might have to get over it!

  2. Love them! What’s your experience with homemade cleaning products? Anything that you’d particularly recommend? I use Ecovert, Frosch and Alverde (not sure whether these are available in the US), but would love to try my own concoctions. 🙂 thanks!

    1. Oh, sorry, I’ve just seen the other post. Still, if you have a favourite mix or an ingredient that works very well for you, do tell. 🙂

      1. Hey Vera! I think that for me, the big difference is using essential oils in the mix. My faves are peppermint + lemon – they make a huge difference in the scent. I’m already a big fan, and to clean with them felt kinda wasteful to me. But I tried a few recipes from Clean Mama’s book, because I’ve always hated the scent of vinegar… and this made a big difference. If you can get your hands on her book, I think you will LOVE her recipes! It’s CHOCK FULL of ideas and well worth the purchase! I hope that helps ;}

  3. These are too cute! Thank you for sharing 🙂

  4. thank you so much!!! I will being printing them out and using them within the next week or so!!!! AND would you mind if I used them at Christmas? I was going to give my sisters a bunch of organic cleaners that I had made with the recipe attached – I would TOTALLY give you the credit – as they already know I read your blog I am sure they would know it must be something I got from your blog anyway – as I am not that creative in the graphic design department:)

  5. Our family is deep into organic cleaning! We love it. After you laminated your labels (im a huge home school laminating nerd myself) how did you attach the laminated label to bottle? Glue?

    Thanks! Great labels 😉
    Bethany.

    1. Hey Bethany! I actually hot glued them, but I wouldn’t recommend it. ;} I would go for a more permanent glue and a rubber band until it has set. I hope that helps! ;} {See me, redoing mine this afternoon after I’ve cleaned the house and they’ve all fallen off} Laminating makes them super stiff (durable), which was the point, but it also makes them come up easily without a strong glue.

      1. Hmmmmm k! I’ll have to play around with all those ideas. Thank you so much! I adore your blog! Keep it going girl!

        Cheers!

  6. Is there somewhere I can order an organic cleaner that will clean my home all on its own? Because that would be great. I know the laundry is your nemesis (I actually don’t mind it much), but the idea of cleaning bathrooms and floors makes me twitchy.

  7. As a Graphic Designer I have to say I love the design of these labels! Pat yourself on the back for these! Nice work!

  8. Beautiful work, love the labels!

Just FYI, disinfectant is spelled wrong. That dang E jumped in there when you weren’t looking!

    1. OH. MY. WORD. This is what happens when I blog whilst sick. JK. This is what would happen anyway. Thanks for telling me. I can’t believe I didn’t have one in a photo and it would have been irreparable. (I can barely spell that as well.) ;} NOTHING drives me crazier. Thank you. REPLACED.

  9. I see the link for the spray bottles but where did you get the cute little jars with lids? Thanks!

  10. Where did you find your super cute jars for the wipes? ….Please say Amazon 🙂

  11. Ha! Love the “laminating all the things” comment…love mine too! : )

Thanks for the printables…these are awesome, and can’t wait to use them!

  12. Hi! LOVE your cleaning labels, but I can’t get them to come up in a printable format. I was able to print off your labels for the sugar scrub and dresser organizers, but not the cleaning labels. What am I missing?

I totally smell what’s in my bottles to figure out which cleaner they are! I usually just wrote on the bottle but it usually rubs off.

BONUS to using homemade, toxic free cleaners…Anytime I mention “I need helpers who can work a spray bottle,” my 2 and 4 year old come running! They are super cleaners for me with any spots on the floors and walls!
Great post!! Loved your post on the essential oils, too!!

    1. Hey Jen – I’m sorry you’re having issues – you have the latest version of adobe reader, right? We haven’t had anyone else report any troubles. Sorry! Please make sure you have the latest version, and clear your cache – I hope that helps!

  13. Thanks for all your creative energy that you share for all to enjoy!! I have many allergies and make some of my own products and this will snazz up my bottle over a marker.
Side note Thank You to making them available to everyone and not just social media followers.

  14. I love these! Can you please tell me what font you used for the large white words? It’s awesome!

Hey! Thanks so much for the adorable labels! I have just taken the plunge with the whole essential oils thing and am loving it!
I also am homeschooling and love to have everything laminated so I was wondering what laminator you bought? There are a bunch out there and I would like to hear your opinion on yours. Thanks so much!

I love these labels. However, I have some other types of cleaners that I’m making and would love to be able to adapt these to some different labels. I do not own Adobe Publisher, but do have Print Shop. You’ve done all the hard work, and like I said I really love the style. Any suggestions?

      1. Jennifer Woodward says:

Thanks for responding. I figured out a way to make labels that will work for me. My next question…you said you laminate them, right? I just recently purchased an XYRON Creative Station. I can laminate, or make a sticker. But, I tried and can’t do both (the sticker stuff won’t stick to laminate). I like the idea of laminating the label. How did you stick them on the bottle? THANKS

  17. Okay- love love love these labels. Im laminating them on adhesive label paper and going to peel the back laminate off and hope thats strong enough to stick to the bottles I ordered! I decided to go with glass bottles & grab some of the glass containers from Hobby Lobby you used.

Quick question though, what did you use for the actual wipes, obviously need something more strong than paper towels…

    Thanks in advance!

    Jenny

  18. Thank you! These will make my bottles of cleaner so much more fun to use!
