handmade savvy saturday

Hello beautiful people! Happy weekend to you.

Pull up a cup of coffee and a nice hot seat. I just typed it like that, and then didn’t fix it, because we thought you’d appreciate the irony in the apparent need for more caffeine.

It’s that time of the year again, though we do hate to admit- I decided it was time to tackle the homeschool room, and this week was a crazy one filled with back to school curriculum shares, and freebie first day signage.

If you feel like channeling your inner Bert a-la Mary Poppins, we have some chalkboard art tips and tricks. Though we are in fact, nowhere near Bert’s capabilities, it’s still a fun one if you feel like trying.

We shared our woes on climbing that proverbial aging ladder – don’t miss the comments – they’re some of our faves in knowing we’re not alone. And we can’t believe it’s August already?! So it was time for another round up of some of our very favorites in the history of ever – you can find them all here.

PS are you on Periscope yet? If you’ve missed some of our recent broadcasts, like our Q+A session or words we’re too old to understand, we’re sharing them again here on our YouTube channel that we just opened up. But be sure to tune in for real-time fun! Just look for @handmade_home

So without further ado, here’s some of our very faves from the www this week:

We’ve been drooling over this wallpaper for years – and Run to Radiance did it up right with this entryway.

We shared this earlier on our Facebook page, but it’s so fantastic, we’re visiting it again:

For the remnants of Twister the movie nerds in all of us: do you speak storm chasing? {With these incredible photos}

We’ve probably shared this one before, but it’s just that good. Back to school 1970’s vs today.

and…. 100 fiction books all children should read before leaving primary school

What’s on the reading list for your kids this year? We want to hear!

Happy handmade savvy saturday, y’all!
