Summer.
It’s the time for swimming pool hair, freshly grown freckles and skinned up knees. For belly laughs, carefree fun and bike rides through the sprinkler. And sometimes? For perfectly rainy afternoons.
Sometimes, those are our favorite.
We had one of those little afternoons recently, and the offspring were growing restless. Climbing the walls, too-many-video games restless. So we decided to cook up a little fun of our own inside with an indoor s’mores party!
We rounded up all the ingredients…
A few Sternos, + the sticks from that fondue pot I just had to have when we got married that we’ve probably used a total of five times in twelve years of marriage.
We made it a little fun with easy, colorful bowls + a few marshmallows on sticks…
And we had a little insta-party. Just for us.
Here’s a few of our favorite combos: {Other than the good old fashioned classic, of course}
The Granola: Graham crackers, milk chocolate, marshmallows, granola bars + peanut butter.
You know it’s good when the marshmallow looks like that…
Southern Strawberry: Graham Crackers, milk chocolate, marshmallows + sliced strawberries
Mint Chocolate: Graham crackers, marshmallows, and Andes mints.
Cookies + Creme: Graham crackers, marshmallows, + cookies ‘n’ creme white chocolate.
If you’ve never tried these combos before… get a little adventurous. You just might love it!
The kids certainly did.
Every season in S’mores season in our book… but sometimes it’s fun to make it a little special… and easy a-la table top soirée style.

You need to try smores with Ritz crackers instead of grahams. Salty and sweet – yum!

I love everything about this. I did a s’mores bar last year, but these printables are much more cute than the ones I had! Now I will have to do another one!

Glad to see they are using the utensils from the fondue kit instead of the small twigs as decor on the table. Many do not realize that some plants are toxic/poisonous and using their branches/twigs for cooking food will poison them or make them extremely sick. Many a camper has done this. You cannot just go out and pick a twig from a tree without knowing that tree and if it is poisonous. English yew, oleander, elderberry…

Does the sterno give the marshmallow a weird taste? I LOVE toasted marshmallows and I’d love to think I’m not limited to the times when it’s convenient/weather permitting to do a fire outside!
