This is what our kids woke to this morning. Scary Gindy got all kinds of freaky in the kitchen while we were sleeping…
I haven’t really bothered with the whole let-the-elf-make-a-mess-and-play-jokes thing, because I don’t have time for that kinda jazz. And when I do that kinda jazz, I go all kindsa out. As if I need more messes than usual…but this morning he did. Emerson was the one who found the carnage which lay before them, and started crying. I guess I traumatized her. Meh.
Can’t really say I blame her. He’s just so darn creepy.
Don’t let the dirty kitchen freak you out. Jamin and I went psycho and purged the house today, (which technically puts us one month ahead of ourselves. We were all proactive this year with the overwhelming toys thing) and we donated/trashed 14 garbage bags full of stuff. SERIOUSLY? WHO AM I?? and then cleaned. BEST FEELING EVER!
I made some christmas shirts for the kids…
Better late than never, right? I feel like they can wear these puppies past the holidays. I’m never big on holidaisical clothes, unless they can go the distance.
Here’s that kiddo shot in front of the tree. Unfortunately, this is as good as it gets…
It was all downhill from there.
I can’t really tell you why my kids are so sensitive.
Has anyone else been to the Bass Pro Shops to see their santa?
we highly recommend.
The kids were star struck.
Telling santa what they would like this Christmas!
Malone was obsessed with the chunky, colorful lights
The best part? (other than the magical feelings of fabulous christmas goodness had by all) The photo was actually free. AND they gave us free kids meal vouchers. So of course we stayed for lunch. And then I decided to document the time we actually ate somewhere that didn’t have a drivethru.
And the kids were, for the most part, civil.
Mone kept pointing at all the fish.
{Emerson was in love with her menu.}
We had a great time. Tomorrow night, we’re putting on our pajamas, and driving all over town to look at the christmas lights before santa comes. Then we’ll come back, set out some cookies for the jolly fella, and drink hot chocolate before bed. What are some of the smaller things you guys doing to celebrate the season?
I’m taking a few day’s internet-free vacay, and I’ll see you all Monday-ish.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
