We’re in the middle of wrapping up some really great projects that we’re bringing your way oh so soon. But in the meantime, we wanted to share another one that’s mid-progress, with some special friends of ours. Today, we’re here with a hallway bath sneak peek.
We actually have a lot in common with our neighbors {turned-friends} Anne Claire and Jeremy. It all started with our kiddos in the same class last year, when we realized that we both live in the same neighborhood. But that’s not what sparked the convo – Anne Claire’s maiden name is Malone… and she has a Malone of her own, too. {Say what?! A coincidence too funny not to share, since that’s where our Malone’s name came from.} But we knew they were our kinda people when we found out that they’re Auburn grads/fans, too. Sometimes, you just hit it off with people. These are our kinda people.
If you’ve been reading here for a while, then you know that Wayfair is one of our favorites for our projects and we love their new home renovation section.
So when they asked if we wanted to team up to showcase a bathroom makeover, we knew just the clients/friends to take this on with.
This little bathroom is actually their son, Malone’s, but it’s also the main bath off their kitchen area in their house… the ones that guests use. The previous owners had touched it up a bit, and not in a way that screams Anne Claire and Jeremy’s style.
Or current. It was fine, it just wasn’t something they were happy with. They weren’t really sure where to start.
So we’ve put our heads together to come up with something that is more fitting for them as a family, and functions well for guests.
Bonus: Malone can grow into it, as well.
They’d brought in a handsome shower curtain, and replaced an old medicine cabinet with a new mirror, so it was definitely an improvement from where they started. At some point, an owner had updated it a little, but it was time for a fresh start.
During demo the other day, Jeremy pulled up this gem of a linoleum floor… underneath another gem of a linoleum floor…
The inception of linoleum finds around here never get old!
So here’s a few ideas we came up with for their bathroom!
Anne Claire is definitely a fan of brass, so we were thrilled to bring in some modern takes with Wayfair, for a classic twist in the look.
Who knew they had so many options for construction and rehab projects?!
• mirror + vanity – this great combo should provide much more storage space than the original vanity, and we’re switching out the knobs for another fun touch of brass. If a bathroom can be handsome, this is it.
• this sink faucet should tie it all together!
• we’re smitten with these sconces from Kichler, for some awesome side by side lighting.
• this shower faucet should add more fun character, along with some beautiful tile from Jeffrey Court, found here.
• towel ring • toilet + handle {did you know wayfair has toilets?} • toilet paper handle
• barn door hardware -to free up wall space + handle – all from our very favorites – Artisan Hardware – available at Wayfair.
• speaking of shelving, we also decided to bring in a little polish with brackets like these, and these adorable towels.
This should offer more storage for their kiddos!
Demolition is complete, and plumbing, electricity and tile are going in as I write this. We can’t wait to show you progress on this great bathroom, and the big reveal with the fabulous Wayfair! We can’t wait to show you the reveal.
Have an inspired day!
