handmade savvy saturday

Happy Handmade Savvy Saturday! I’ll start by apologizing for my inconsistency: I’ve been absolutely swamped with design work and all things packing chaos. Seriously, I may die in a box avalanche if the elevated cortisol doesn’t take me out first, but it is slow and steady over here. The other night, I had too many jalapenos for dinner, and when heartburn struck, I just assumed it was a heart attack coming for me. So that pretty much sums up my life as of late. Don’t they say moving is one of the most stressful life experiences, right below divorce and health issues? Update: I just googled, and survey says that it surpasses divorce and weddings so… joke’s on me, though I’m not sure I agree. I will say I haven’t cried this hard since our first dog died. Ranting aside, I realized it’s Saturday, and I’m long overdue to get back to our regular posting schedule. In short, I just want to feel normal again. For anyone who has sold a house before, I know you get it. We close this Thursday, and we’re finally at the point where we feel excited about this change and all the good things coming with it, after the hard work we’ve put in. This house has been a marathon for a decade, and we’re finally crossing the finish line… so we can’t wait to update you on some things. But in the meantime, here are a few posts you may have missed on The Handmade Home these last few weeks:

• Because it’s never just a house
• The walkthrough closet
• What we do: national design
• The inspired home show
• Easy Easter table inspiration

So without further ado, here are a few of our faves from the www this week!

• This amazing story – so happy for her!
• This house for sale that I’ve been loving forever in Franklin
• Hikes to try in Tennessee this fall
• I may have shared this one before but I’m sharing it again.
• This renter’s space

• These colorful Easter Eggs

So what are some of your favorite finds? We’d love to hear. Have an inspired day!
