Once upon a time, we would do little round ups every now and again. They were usually some of our very favorites for the season, that we couldn’t help but share.
From useful-for-yourself, to great gifts for others… we love sharing items we’ve found that we absolutely adore for our own personal use. And aside from our own studio gift guides, it has honestly been years since we’ve included a fun roundup. But lately, we’ve stumbled upon such great finds, we couldn’t help but share. They warranted a post, if we do say so ourselves.
We’re wrapping up the Hideaway post with a few client projects, along with working hard to get our free planner out really soon, so in the meantime… this just seemed suitable for a fabulous kinda Friday post. Without further rambling, a few of our fab faves!

1. The Collins bag by Kelly Moore
Have camera, will travel… no, I couldn’t resist. This bag is great for trekking it across town, or across the pond. I’m asked often either where I got my bag from, or what kind of camera bag I recommend. I prefer the models with space for your camera, and more to boot. This is my third Kelly bag to own, and you won’t regret this investment, if you have a large camera. I have plenty of room for an iPad or laptop as well. Mamas check it out, too if you’re looking for a great bag on the side when you’re not using it for a camera, or just a hold-all-the-things bag.
Now if only I could figure out how to fit my desktop in there…;}
2. The Latest Scoop – Ice Cream Scoop
You scream, I scream. All your friends will scream when they see how cute this little scoop is at your next come-to-my-house shindig. Yes, that was cheesy. Just like the old fashioned parlors, made of wood, antique brass and copper with a dash of wholesome nostalgia. Inside of scoop is tin plated… food safe.
We love this one, if we do say so ourselves.
3. Goospery iphone Case
Speaking of travels… sometimes you just need to grab your phone, keys and go.
Like, when you’re running to pick up your kids or headed to your workout. This is basically all I take when I’m not toting my camera. This awesome puppy fits the bill, and we love the price!
I’ve had mine for a while now and it holds all the essentials, while even allowing space for a little cash. It’s a little product I definitely love for holding the little stuff!
4. Lash Boost Enhancements
I always had the short end of the stick when it came to lashes. Literally. All my friends’ eyeballs were exploding with gorgeous spider eyes, and I had, well, literally nothing. The eyeliner came up higher than my lashes. It was sad. Then I saw my Rodan and Fields gal sporting some serious lashes, and decided to try some for myself {I have blue eyes, and had never tried the other stuff because I’d heard it turns your eyes brown.} I was previously hesitant to try.
This R+D stuff is legit.
It took me about six to eight weeks, but I can actually feel my lashes when I look up. They’ve probably tripled in length and thickness. First my mom noticed. Then my high school friends asked if I was wearing extensions. They’re that pretty. Mission accomplished.
Bonus points for also growing out those brows you over-plucked in college. Yes, please.
I flutter my lashes pretty regularly these days at Jamin, when I need something. It totally works.
So this is for the gals like me, who always felt a bit, well… shorted. If you don’t have a R+F connection, you should contact my fave gal here for the hookup!
5. Whale of a Tale Bookend
Our favorite bookend to hold all the things.
He’s made of hand painted cast iron, and will bring serious style to all your awesome books.
He’s our favorite. And totally on sale.
6. Iphone Battery
Yes, I am including this. Yes, I do realize this makes me a super dork.
Jamin swears on this conspiracy theory with Apple. When a new phone is released, the old ones have updates that automatically drain the battery a little faster each time. Therefore, you need a new phone. I’m starting to believe him because mine now dies three times a day, and it’s not that old.
It’s time for new ones per our contract, but we’re holding out. For the new model. It’s a vicious cycle. And if you live anywhere that drains phones {big cities, anyone?} you may need a power source on the go. Call us nerds but we love these. They last for days, and you can pick a pretty color, too.
When I want my house to feel clean, I spray the sinks and wipe them down. Then I spray the linen spray everywhere. And this is the scent of summer. And a clean house.
Or at least almost kinda there with scents on-point.
Shhhh. No judging.
Seriously, if you love sea salt anything, this is your new scent. Bonus: made of safe cleaning ingredients and no harsh chemicals.
8. Nice Cooler
Everyone’s spending big bucks on all these fancy coolers, and you can find us over here, well, with this amazing cooler. Because they’re a fraction of the price, and just as nice as the other brands.
See what I did there?
We’re also in love with this drink cannon. We don’t get out much, but we’d never seen such a thing. It keeps 6 drinks cold for 24-48 hours, with a nice spring-loaded action to deliver those cans to the top. Perfect for picnicking, hiking, or camping… {In my case, glamping because pillows and bathrooms} – just about anything you can think of.
We love all their color options!
Do yourself a favor, save some money, and check them out.
And because we’re suckers for colorful sodas…
Yes, please.
9. Union and Dixie Candles
If you’ve been reading for a while, then it’s no secret that we’re raving fans of Union + Dixie Candles. Made with coconut wax by a nurse anesthetist, they’re healthy. Who knew what we were lighting in our homes weren’t good for us?
Our favorite scent right now?
{Because it changes every time we try a new one} Bloodies & Mimosas!
Luxury in a safe candle. Seriously it’s the total package. You’ll LOVE them and you can thank us later.
10. Studio Apparel
Because we’re totally biased… any of our super soft tees have to be included because we’re nerds and live in them.
Great colors, super soft, and bonus points: clever design. {At least we think so}
11. Gizmos
I can’t rave about these enough. If you’re a parent with an elementary school kiddo/ tween on the go, stop what you’re doing and buy these with pretty straps so your kids will wear them.
Safe phones for kids without access to the internet.
They can call only pre-programmed numbers, and only pre-programmed numbers can call them.
Same with texts.
You can track them on your computer to keep tabs on them throughout the day. {Hello, field trips you can’t attend.}
Set boundaries on your computer to be alerted when they leave said boundaries.
And more.
We could go on and on and on and on about these watches. Letting go a little after having them under our wing for three years in the home school world, was a big step for us. And these helped immensely with the process. They were the kids’ main Christmas gifts this year, as we’re kind of opposed to the whole smart phone thing {they’ll get dumb phones first, when they’re older.} So these were a great solution.
But they paid for themselves when Malone was separated from us this Christmas. We were at Dollywood with my family, and a row of us were all walking. If you’ve been reading for a while, then you know I’m neurotic. I constantly count kids heads all day long. He was separated from us while we were walking and everyone else thought everyone else had him.
Malone stopped to look at a fire engine, and we never saw him stop around all the crowds while we walked. We had walked quite the distance and left him behind.
Until he was able to call us on his watch, and we came back.
He’d been separated, disoriented, and distressed. And we would have been on the other side of the park before we realized it. That alone was enough for me. We couldn’t love these little things more.
We hope you enjoy our little round up of products today.
Some of them may prove useful for you, too!
Let us know if we can answer any questions!
Have an inspired day!
