psssst…. shop our spaces here!
When our clients called us in about some flooding in their kitchen, we were frustrated for them since we’ve been there ourselves. {Remember our old master bathroom?} But we also knew that lemons into lemonade is a cliché, because it’s true.
And we were more than happy to take an opportunity to make it light and bright and put back together, again.
Whenever we take on a new project, we work within the client’s needs.
They wished to salvage their cabinetry, and piece the kitchen back together from there.
So it became a bit of a reclaimed kitchen makeover, and we were more than happy to make that happen for their family.
We loved lightening their cabinets, to give it less of a dated feel. Her white dishes now fit perfectly behind the glass.
And of course, we loved bringing in one of our favorite tiles from Jeffrey Court.
The Marrakech was a nod to a little fun with the classic look, and worked wonders for their overall feel.
We loved adding lovely new accents like this beautiful marble countertops {which are especially appreciated by him, since he’s a geologist}.
They also hail from Georgia, so it was nice to have an original piece of stone from their home place right in their Franklin, TN kitchen.
The contrast in those natural swirls are oh so beautiful!
We’re especially biased towards this one since we have it in our own space, as well. Polycor is one of our very favorite sources for that. We couldn’t have pulled it off without them, or our incredible fabricator, who went above and beyond with everything.
Marble is classic and timeless and not as fussy as you’d think.
We think it’s judged unfairly most of the time.
We’re three years in to our own kitchen and love every inch of history sitting on our countertops. People are usually afraid of them, and we’ve had zero issues.
Speaking of partnerships, we also couldn’t have pulled this off in such a quick time frame, without the help of Matt from CopperRock construction and his awesome crew.
He’s one of our faves.
It’s a simple space but it really is amazing the difference that freshening up your cabinets with new countertops and tile and lighting and hardware can make…
And of course, that fabulous kitchen sink, too.
Because farmhouse sinks never get old to me.
Aren’t those new floors oh so beautiful?
Lemonade, y’all. Lemonade.
The sweet owner said it herself, but it’s amazing what a difference new lights can make!
goodbye boob lights… hello awesome additions from Kichler.
We loved bringing in the Emory Flush Mount to their main kitchen space.
And the Caslida collection for a subtle touch of sophistication and glimmer.
It always blows my mind what a difference under cabinet lighting can make in a space. The biggest impact comes at night when you have more ambience options. This is our favorite line from Kichler and we always suggest it for our fabulous clients.
We also loved adding some beautiful new {needing an update} hardware from D.Lawless.
They’re a nice classic addition with clean lines and pretty finishes.
Speaking of lemonade… I didn’t even do that on purpose, but since I keep referencing it, see what I did there?
I’ll stop talking now.
This kitchen is oh so simple, but also refreshing in its simplicity.
I think that’s what we like about it so much. It also goes to show that life isn’t all instant HGTV makeovers with endless budgets, but reality and the idea of working through that with what you have. Within the client’s parameters and putting everything back together again a-la humpty dumpty. Sometimes, that’s a real challenge.
I like to think we’re a little better than all the kings horses and men, for the record.
We love the way this reclaimed kitchen turned out, but our very favorite part was this guy. He was so happy to pose for a treat, and we say fur babies make homes feel like home.
He does match beautifully, after all. ;}
We hope our sweet clients truly enjoy their new kitchen!
As always, thank you for dropping by!
Love this. And love they stuck with the same cabinets. Everything you touch turns to gold!
This is so well done and beautiful. I’m sure they had some pretty strict parameters with an unexpected expense. You guys did wonderfully! Gorgeous.
