This weekend was the largest flea market weekend they have in Nashville. As many of you may know, my brother and sister in law reside there, so we were really looking forward to taking a quick trip, to see my adorable niece, as well. We’ve had a lot of luck with some fun local stores for some great furniture redos, but we hadn’t tried the “big one,” yet. So, after some major sweet talking of the hubs…we were sans children and well on our way for two nights and a day in nashvegas. Of course, I snapped some pics of what I considered to be some really fun finds, there. If you haven’t been yet, and you live anywhere in the near vicinity of Nashville…its definitely worth the visit.
I loved these chairs.
Cristin scored one of these baskets from a vendor. Loved these.
the same vendor carried these. {angel wings} I knew right then and there, that I absolutely HAD to have some. WHY, I couldn’t really tell you. It was just one of those moments…one of those things you absolutely must grab up for your home…even if you’re not sure where they will go…A much better pic…and post on where I decide to place these guys, will be coming soon, I am sure.
I was in chandy heaven.
And type heaven, for that matter. It’s just too bad there weren’t any M’s…
this is a total side tangent: but remember this stool?
and my redo of said stool?
I found three of these guys…sitting all by their lonesome. Three crusty little perfections of industrial stools…just begging for me to take them home. So, I have three sizes, which I can resell as is, or refinish for you. This photo doesn’t show them like it should…I think I was so pumped when I found them, because I received plenty o messages asking about them…but small, med. and large. I can send measurements, etc. if you want to drop me a line. Just let me know!
I LOVED these giant antique floats. They were a little larger than what I could use…
These old ammunition boxes would make great office or kitchen storage.
aaaaaaaawwwwwwwweeeessssooooooooommmmeeeeeeeneeessssss in my imaginary studio. {I was singing that. Can you tell?}
I was admiring this gargantuan birdcage, when the vendor noted I could stick the baby I was holding (my niece) in there. keeeeeep walking.
color inspiration. Love these together!
a technique that looks like they used a tan or brown based color underneath, and then dry brushed the stain on top…storing in the back of my mind…
I was thinking this would be awesome to mount on the wall and display photos and other whatnots. It’s really too bad I could nab this from a field somewhere, and the price wasn’t that awesome. I can’t rationalize paying 150 bucks for something so rusted. Just. Sayin.
If I’d had the right space for these, they would be in my house right now.
I loved this table so much, I came back a second time and took another pic. This is like the queen of all studio dream tables…
yes, please.
I passed this jewelry box by…and now I wish I’d grabbed it up, too. Sometimes, flea markets fry my brains, and from now on, I’m going in with some type of listing system…
we were seeing lots of these…which would be perfect for organizing mail. keep your eyes peeled for one similar that we did pick up, coming your way…
This mail slot was awesome. The signs, not so much.
lovely for a nursery. Let me just say, that if you ARE having a baby any time soon, and you have a room to redo…you are CRAZY to go to those baby boutiques, with their overpriced, mass produced insanity. You need to look here, for your room accessories. Decor galore. {OMGAH that rhymes.}
These would be awesome for a coffee table, or even a light. Still trying to put together the perfect light in my head…so for now, a coffee table would rock it.
collectible toys. I even remembered some of these from my own childhood.
repainted, these lights would rock my world.
I’m guessing these are old property markers. And they would look awesome incredible on a mantel.
these seltzer bottles are some of my favorite.
how awesome would this be in an entry way? paired with hooks for the walls. It’s the perfect little compartment for bins.
I’ll take one of each. kay thanks.
There’s more I could post…but at this point, you may fall asleep at your keyboards. thanks for humoring me, and perhaps I’ve convinced you that Nashville is the place to be…I think we may be taking a journey in the near future to Atlanta, as well. I’ve heard that one is fun…
whoops: almost left this just-for-fun pic out…
We found emmy some steel-toed cowgirl boots. She LOVES them. I ALSO found some…and mine are NOT pink. couldn’t resist that price…they literally have everything!
until next time!
