We’ve been known to take halloween pretty seriously around here. Even when we only had one child. Us with Aiden (wow this photo makes me feel old) Circa 2006
When I took these photos, I look back and laugh. I was preggers with Malone and had NO clue.
It’s hard to believe that Peter Pan and Tinkerbell are now five and two and a half. 2008.
The next year, right on schedule, we had another little addition with us. Circa 2009
Emerson wasn’t exactly in a photography kinda mood. (is she eva?)
so this year… (NO, we’re NOT HAVING another child)
we decided to go as pirates, mateys!!!
ARGH!
Yes, I made their costumes. And yes, we made the boat. Read more about that here.
The kids absolutely had a blast. I figured this was our last year to live it up with Aiden. All his friends go as spiderman, so to be something mommy sewed is absolutely tragic in his world. (We’ll see if we can do it again next year…I’ve already got some ideas!)
The boat was teething approved.
Of course, the costumes didn’t last long, with the heat (yay, Alabama) and fun rides, as we ventured to our churches local community fall festival.
Papa and Gigi, as tradition states, came as well.
And afterwards, trick or treating, where Malone took over as captain of the ship!
ARGH! Here’s to hopin ye got lots er bootay for yer loot and other piratey sayin whatnots!
