It’s been a hot minute since we’ve posted some ideas from our party in your pocket series, and today we thought we’d share some ideas for a glow party!
For those who aren’t familiar, our “party in your pocket” series, it’s filled with little parties of sorts, along with free printables and lots of ideas so you can make it happen on your own. If you feel so inclined, they’re literally just in your pocket waiting to shine. Thus the title. This time around: a glow party. Woot Woot!
So we dressed the pool area up, and had a full on tablescape for all things glow.
Sometimes, it’s fun to set the table up for something a little special. Even if it’s basic like pizza. Guilty.
But this glow theme was just perfect for a little gathering of friends!
We brought in iridescent paper plates, layered with these easy melamine finds from Target. {We alternated pink + orange} Paired with these adorable cups as party favors, and glow bracelets as edges to the plates, for a simple accent.
We also filled up a drink container with these little guys – mindful it’s only for age appropriate use…
Simple table runner from here!
We love the way it all came together for a super simple summer soirée.
I’ve always wanted to try my hand at a balloon arch, and when I spied these colors, I bribed Jamin to help. With another pair of hands, we were able to put this one together in about an hour and fifteen. I have to say, it wasn’t hard at all and we just followed the directions that came with this kit. But it was so much fun to spruce up the cabana for a fun little partay/shoot!
Tip: do not try this without an automated balloon inflator. You would die. The end.
We have a birthday tradition where every year, each kiddo wakes up to a room full of balloons. Over the years, we started to hate ourselves because that was cute when they were three, but traditions, so whatareyagonnadoaboutit? We purchased this and THERE IS NO TURNING BACK. Yes we are extra sometimes. But it’s the little things we know they’ll remember.
We just loved these fun views!
The drinking glasses were the perfect little touch – especially for older kiddos.
Here are our printables in more detail
For this party, we included:
• Invites – pair them with a simple envelope for fun color + a white sharpie or other marker are perfect for all things details.
• Tags – perfect for grouping with any party favors
• Labels – for any kind of buffet set up or place settings
• Star Confetti – That chunky look was kinda fun sprinkled on the table
• Skinny Tags / stickers – which double as more confetti or tags, depending on what you want to use them for.
Can you tell I was proud of that balloon arch? It just made for such fun photography.
So much fun! + Easy!
These glowing beach balls were a hit as well, and we loved adding them to the pool.
Not shown: this glow kit for perfect party fun. You can’t beat all these little pieces for kids to make their own creations!
If you look carefully, you can see where the fireflies also came out to play. Especially in the photo below.
Like another one of nature’s layers to our theme – our favorite!
We hope you’ve enjoyed our little glow party tour.
If you try any of these ideas or use the printables, we’d love to hear. Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Have an inspired day!
