handmade savvy saturday

Happy Handmade Savvy Saturday, everyone! We found a few encouraging and inspiring things this week, and thought you would love them, too.

This. An inspiring take on looking back at your high school self.

Which led me to her awesome site where I found some great takes on sugar scrubs (I’m totally making the lime one}

colors of maeWhich led me to her store here and I’m officially a stalker.

This great, approachable take on it all from Two story Cottage

Somehow, this one was lost in the mix… but This awesome loft bed with a smart take on the ladder in our readers’ gallery, here. {read the how to, here}

And this. Both videos are inspirational. We’re just starting to look at it all from an entirely different angle… It’s been a rough week around here, and a rough transition in general, so I found this very inspirational as far as thinking outside the box. Every child is different and every child will thrive in different situations. From public school to home school… No matter WHAT you choose for your children and their education, this was very cool. ;}

Have an inspired day!

  1. As per usual, you have curated a beautiful collection of pictures and ideas to inspire us with Ashley! Tori’s space and products are gorgeous! Lime scrub? Yes please! I could use some of that up here in NH on this cold winter day. I hope you have a great weekend and thank you for sharing!

  2. We watched this video on hackschooling this week too. I have been in a rut, with our schooling, health, etc…this young man really inspired me and gave me hope. I couldn’t agree more, you may do your lessons in a building or at home, either way we can all pursue knowledge and catch the love of learning. Unfortunately so many homeschooling families have a reputation of hating the public school system and the line between the two is far too wide. I’m trying to break that stereotype and every time I hear “I could never do that” I just reply with ” you already are.” We are all homeschoolers if we realize it or not. Keep going, we love you guys!!
