handmade savvy saturday

Hey hey + happy Handmade Savvy Saturday! We’ve been on fall break here, but since the kiddos’ breaks didn’t quite line up {booooo} and we’re working nonstop right now… we stayed put and were productive instead. In short, I’ve been on a purging / gardening rage, and now my back hurts… but it feels good to donate a ton of items, so stay tuned for all of that because I’ll be sharing more.

First and foremost, it feels like we use our site here as a bit of an escape from the every day, and we are so glad for that. But sometimes it can feel a little tone deaf when some heavy things are happening. We are heartbroken for all the hurricane victims and wanted you to check out this great cause, here. You can donate, volunteer, fundraise and more. Sharing helps, too.

Here’s what you may have missed this week on The Handmade Home:

• A recap of the market + our post on forecasting for trends, here.
• Our fave picks for Amazon Big Deal Days
• Some things are still marked down, and there’s inspiration for gifts, fashion, and more here.
• We shared a throwback to last year with our ghost dogs {such good sports!}
• A colorful Halloween Tablescape

Here are a few of our faves from the www this week:

• There are two types of people in the world
• Remembering Jessica McClintock
• What went right this week : the good news that matters
• Autumn anxiety is a thing, and this is how I deal with it
• Just in case you needed this today
• This chocolate oreo bundt cake
• These Christmas tree decorations
• 25 creative pumpkins
• Empty nest: when the kids leave home who is the ME left behind?

What are some of your faves from the www this week? We’d love to hear. Have an inspired day!
