handmade savvy saturday

It was a chaotic week with two snow days right smack in the middle, which we actually needed to recover a little. If it’s not going to be pool season, {and every season but late fall and winter are pool season with a heated pool}, it may as well snow. So I’m certainly not mad about it. Things have been insane with travel and {parental} health, doggo scares and tests {Rigby’s health, she’s good}, kid stuff, and more. Oh, and ps, let’s stay sick all winter long. ‘Tis the season. Everyone in our family, including me, has been ill all winter. I think I’ve personally had a week and a half of reprieve in between my ailments since Christmas, but we can’t seem to shake colds, and we keep trading them back and forth. Wheeee. So, I took a few days off this week to ground myself by spending time with our teens, resting, and cleaning this house. Sometimes, it’s the little things, even if it’s playing catch up. If you’re hanging in there with sickness stuff, we feel you. I even failed to write a handmade savvy Saturday last week. {For good reason: Jamin planned a surprise for Valentine’s, and it’s always good to invest in that mawwaige stuff}. All that to say, we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled program next week. Here are a few things you may have missed on the handmade home since our last installment:

• 15 art pieces to add color to your home
• Our favorite organization projects
• Our favorite winter-to-spring transitional wardrobe ideas
• Things your designer wants you to know: An entire series so you can stop self-sabotaging
• The best memo boards: A fun round-up.

So without further ado, here are a few of our recent faves from the www:

• This time capsule house
• Movie props with a whole other life
• This sound keeps your brain from overthinking
• This group where people share restorations of old houses
• A recipe for one pan balsamic chicken
• A miniature art gallery
