Happy Saturday, wonderful friends! We had a fun filled week with another sneak peek at our fabrics {along with a wild and crazy 40th birthday celebration – my keyboard is seething with sarcasm}. We’re getting closer y’all! Tips and tricks to defining your style with global farmhouse goes to the carnival {it’s a thing}. Feta Fresh salad – a recipe that is so amazing and it practically makes itself and Rigby + Fitz took over for a bit to tell us about one of their favorite things – a-la Oprah but better.
We totally blew off school on Friday because we never do and because we can, and decided to take the kids to see Goosebumps. If you were a fan as a kid, and even if you weren’t, we highly recommend it. {I read a review article about age appropriateness before taking the kiddos, and it mentioned all the cool kids were reading Fear Street and Christopher Pike when they were of age, and I did a gigantic CHA-CHING in my head to celebrate because this totally made my dorkfest bookworm days relevant.} It all depends on the age of your child and what they can handle, because the movie is non stop, but super funny – written as much for the parents as the kids. And also Jack Black.
My point? I feel cool since an article told me I was, and I’m back with a giant popcorn belly filled with borderline regret to recap some of our fave finds from the www this week! So without further ado…
Ever see a home tour that makes you freak out just a little and then because your home is for sale, you totally get this huge itch to move even though the market is slow and you’re trying to be patient because you know your time will come even though you feel totally under appreciated and you want to rip out your walls, throw up some beautiful brick, and write more run on sentences about it? I’m basically like Edward Cullen on his honeymoon and I’m this close to biting someone if I don’t get to do a redo soon. Did I really just write that? The truth is unpleasant sometimes, and this home tour by Thistlewood will do it to ya. But oh so inspiring!
This great halloween party idea – never mind that I’ve never had a soda suicide and I’m basically a disappointment to the hubs. I mean, what can I say? I was too much of a control freak when all my friends were mixing them at the skating rink. Also see: dorkfest bookworm days-that may explain a lot.
This too-cute homemade barre from Joni of Lay Baby Lay
Because we’re determined to get a jump on it all this year, even though this photo is so cute, but the concept this early is basically burning my retinas- handmade christmas ideas. {Let’s be honest, Amazon in pajamas are how we roll-but I’m going to pretend with great aspirations so it kinda counts}
How to fake wood floors by Traci from Beneath my Heart – because budgets do exist
We hope you guys have a wonderful, restful Saturday!
